The facelift of the Skoda Slavia, a mid-size premium sedan, will make its debut in the Indian market in August 2026. Skoda, the Czech Republic carmaker, introduced the Slavia in India back in November 2021; since then, it has remained the same without any upgrades. On Indian public roads, it has already been spotted testing multiple times, but every time it was camouflaged.
The manufacturer will soon confirm its launch date. Notably, following the launch, it will give more tough competition to the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The existing model is available for sale with the ex-showroom prices of ₹10.00 and ₹18.19 million. As of now, there is no word for the facelift price, but it is certain that it will be a little costlier than the existing model.
The multiple sightings of the Skoda Slavia facelift have revealed many details about its exterior. Outside, it will get a large grille with chunky slats to enhance the front-end view, a refreshed main headlight setup to add aesthetics and better road visibility for nighttime driving, and dotted, connected LED daylight running lights to add modernness and give a futuristic touch.
Other things we are most likely to see on its exterior are a revised front bumper with an air dam for better aerodynamics; 17-inch large diamond-cut alloy wheels enhancing road presence; new LED taillamps to enhance this vehicle’s visibility from the back; illuminated “Škoda” lettering at the tailgate for branding; and a redesigned rear bumper to make the rear profile distinct from the existing model.

The interior of the Slavia facelift is also undisclosed, but many reports have confirmed that the carmaker is going to introduce upgrades. The dashboard and door trims are expected to be upgraded with soft-touch material, and even upholstery for seats is anticipated to be enhanced to provide better seating comfort.
Reportedly, it may get a large touchscreen infotainment system at the center of the dashboard with a better user interface supporting connected car technology, over-the-air software updates, and wireless connectivity via Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth for video and audio streaming and rear seats with the massage function to remove fatigue of rear-seating passengers.
Besides the above exterior and interior upgrades, the vehicle is all set to remain the same as the existing model. Meaning, there is no change in suspension and braking, dimensions and space, and powertrain and performance. Except for the upgrades, the exterior and interior will remain the same; nothing is going to be removed.
The carmaker will introduce two internal combustion engine options: a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol with two transmission options that are six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic, replacing the six-speed automatic; and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol with only a 7-speed DSG, as the manual is all set to be discontinued.
The 1.0-liter, 999 cc engine generates power up to 115 PS and peak torque of 178 Nm, and the 1.5-liter, 1,498 cc engine delivers maximum power of 150 PS and 250 Nm torque. With both engine options, it will feature a front-wheel-drive drivetrain. The top speed for the first ICE option is 190 kmph, and the same for the second one is 210 kmph.
In 2026, between January and May, a total of 6,198 were sold, including 1,946 in January, 1,674 in February, 887 in March, 830 in April, and 861 in May. Compared to 2025 sales, in April and May, it has recovered from year-on-year declines of 21% and 8%, respectively. Following the launch of the Skoda Slavia facelift, its sales are expected to increase with good numbers.
