MG Motor, the British automobile manufacturer owned by SAIC Motor, has officially released the interior image for the upcoming MG 07 fastback. They are all set to start the pre-sale for this car for the Chinese market; however, they are set to announce the price for this model. Reportedly, the launch will rage in late August 2026, and mid-September 2026 may mark the delivery start.
Many reports suggest that the carmaker will introduce the price around 300,000 yuan, which translates to 42.18 lakh rupees. Following the launch in China, it will compete with the BYD Seal, Xiaomi SU7, Tesla Model 3, Zeekr 007, Nio ET5, Xpeng P7+, Avatr 06, and Luxeed S7. It features 5 people seating with a 2-3 layout and a boot space of 697 liters. The dimensions in different terms are

The manufacturer has revealed three options for the interior that are white, violet, and royal blue. The center of the dashboard is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chipset-powered 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen infotainment system, which is integrated with a 21-speaker 7.1.4 surround sound audio system. It supports:
- Wireless smartphone connectivity,
- Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity,
- Over-the-air software updates,
- AI-based voice assistant, and
- Connected car technology.
Features a three-spoke three-wheeler with physical buttons, whose column has a gear selector. Before the driving seat, there’s a slim digital instrument cluster. The center console gets two wireless phone charging pads and double cup holders. Other notable features are the following:
- 30-liter built-in refrigerator with heating and cooling system,
- 109-liter under-floor storage compartment,
- Multiple USB charging ports across the cabin,
- Multiple-color ambient lighting,
- Zero-gravity front seats,
- Automatic climate control, and
- Momenta R7 intelligent driving system.
Outside, it has C-shaped LED headlights, the MG logo just below the hood, a closed-off grille, and lower active air intakes at the front end. Features seven-seater alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, powered double-toned ORVMs on the front gate, flush-type door handles, and a floating roofline on the sides. It gets a roof-integrated windshield, a full-width taillight, an MG logo just below the taillight strip, and a minimalist tailgate at the rear.
Built on SAIC Motor’s Nebula Platform, also known by the name of “Modular Scalable Platform” in the international market. Its electrical architecture is 800-volt high-voltage support for 5C ultra-fast charging. They will start the pre-sale for both the extended-range electric vehicle and the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle versions.
The PHEV gets an 82 kW 1.5 liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine and a 152 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle with a dedicated hybrid transmission featuring a front-wheel-drive drivetrain. Get a 30 kWh lithium iron manganese phosphate battery pack that gives an 185 km WLTC range.
And the BEV gets a 176 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor with a one-speed automatic gearbox on the rear axle featuring a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain. Its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is under 5 seconds. Features a 67 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, whose range is 650 km on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle.
It is equipped with mCDC electromagnetic adaptive suspension, featuring 200 adjustments per second, which ensures a comfortable driving experience for all types of terrain. All wheels may get ventilated discs for powerful braking with an anti-locking braking system and electronic brake system to avoid wheel locking and ensure stable braking.
