As reported, Kawasaki had to launch the Z300 in the Indian market on October 20, 2026. The brand has done so. The stripped-down streetfighter motorcycle from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer made its debut in the Indian market as the entry-level model of the Z series of the brand. It has been officially revealed, it cost ex-showroom ₹3.25 lakh.
This motorcycle underpins the same platform used to build the Ninja 300. Compared to its sibling, the Z300 cost ₹10,000 less. Its design cues are quite similar to its premium sibling, the Z900. Kawasaki has placed it in the Indian market as the rival to the TVS Apache RTR 310, whose average monthly sales in the last five months is 1,812 units.
Two different colour options.
Two colour options are offered for this 296cc motorcycle, which are the Candy Lime Green and Metallic Carbon Grey. The former is for those who want a bold and instantly recognisable Kawasaki streetfighter look, and the latter for mature, understated, and premium-looking motorcycles.
The brand has retailed both colour options at the same price, making no colour less attractive. Buyers may opt for any of these colours at the same price. Booking is already taking place from October 19, 2026, a day before the launch, and delivery is scheduled to start early in November 2026.
Equipped with parallel-twin ICE.
Features the 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin petrol-powered ICE that is mated with a six-speed manual transmission. Kawasaki says that this internal combustion engine delivers a maximum of 39.4 bhp power at 11,000 rpm and a peak of 26.3 Nm torque at 10,000 rpm.
Other unveiled details are the electronic fuel injection with dual throttle valves, a bore and stroke of 62 × 49 mm, and a compression ratio of 10.6:1. Get a 17-litre fuel tank, one among the larger in the segment, ensuring fewer refuelling stops and making a long journey convenient.

Its valvetrain is a DOHC 8-valve and has a slip-and-assist clutch that prevents the rear wheel from hopping or locking during aggressive downshifts. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing, top speed, and fuel efficiency are still pending.
More than 1.4 metre wheelbase.
The length, width and height of the Z300 are 2,015 mm, 750 mm and 1,025 mm, respectively, with a 1,405 mm wheelbase and 785 mm ground clearance. Even though the ground clearance is made public for this motorcycle, it is 140 mm, 5 mm less than the international-spec model.
Kawasaki says its kerb weight is 175 kg, and it is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels. The front wheel wears 110/70-17, and the rear has 140/70-17. The kerb weight is a little heavy, but for the experienced rider it won’t be tough to handle even on city roads with the dense traffic.
The 37 mm right-way-up telescopic fork at the front and the Uni-Trak monoshock with preload adjustment at the rear are available for the Z300. This setup is the same as its sibling, the Ninja 300. The 290 mm petal disc with a twin-piston calliper for the front wheel and rear wheel also has the same braking system, but the diameter for the same is only 220 mm.
Features an LCD instrument cluster.
Ensuring braking safety, this Kawasaki motorcycle is also equipped with a double-channel anti-locking braking system. This feature prevents wheels from getting locked during sudden braking. Between its handlebar reverse LCD display as a digital instrument cluster is placed, the same is present on its sibling, the Ninja 500.
The LCD instrument cluster shows all riding-related information and also supports wireless connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, as per the report. Other features that have been reported are LED lighting, including headlights, taillamps, and side indicators. The headlights setup has three LEDs; two are low beam and one is high beam.
