Xiaomi SkyNomad N90, a full-size intelligent extended-range electric sport utility vehicle, will make its debut in the Chinese market very soon. Prior to that, the Chinese automobile manufacturer Xiaomi Auto released interior images showing the cabin features. It comes with a seating capacity of seven people in a two-two-three arrangement.
The manufacturer is marketing their electrified SUV for families of three traveling with both grandparents and two-child families with grandparents and a nanny. It is also an ideal option for business reception and executive transport. Notably, its front seats are 180-degree rotatable and can be used when the vehicle remains parked.
The second-row seats are captain-type with separate armrests; they are also electrically adjustable to enhance seating comfort. It features a completely flat floor to ensure easier movement inside the cabin. The company claims that the vehicle cabin can be turned into a studio for one, a café for two, a meeting room for three, or a family lounge or play area.
Notably, they will introduce the model with five individuals’ seating capacity in a two-three layout, which enables coffee table placement between the front and second rows. It has a large boot space, which makes carrying big luggage convenient, and the seven-seater also has a decent boot space. Images shared by the company show that it can accommodate 6 suitcases easily.
The center of the dashboard is equipped with a large, freestanding touchscreen infotainment system; it also has a ceiling-mounted rear-passenger entertainment screen that can be slid upward and backward. Reportedly, the third-row tablet (PAD) expansion and projection kit for in-cabin entertainment are set to be available optionally.
The infotainment system is integrated with the premium overhead speaker system to ensure an immersive audio experience inside the cabin and give a feel of a mini theater. For convenience, it is equipped with a built-in refrigerator with both heating and cooling functions that help in storing the eatables and beverages.
A split panoramic sunroof enhances the cabin’s openness and also adds premiumness. The carmaker also revealed the camping features as an option. By paying an additional amount, the buyer can get a pop-up roof with a sleeping platform, built-in side cabinets, a side-tent interface, and a detachable table.
To enhance practicality, the cabin gets a total of six cup holders. Two on the center console between the first and second row seats, and two in the third row on windows. To operate the ceiling-mounted screen, there’s a small touchscreen on the center console in the second row.
Before the driving seat, it has a four-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons and a Xiaomi login; under the same, there’s a digital instrument cluster showing all the driving data. The entire cabin runs on the connected Xiaomi ecosystem. The first row also has two wireless phone charging pads.
The cabin’s centrally and ceiling-mounted screen is all set to support connected car technology with over-the-air software updates; it will also feature an artificial intelligence-based voice assistant, wireless smartphone connectivity for video and audio streaming, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Inside the cabin, it also features multiple ambient lights that enhance the mood for nighttime driving and add premiumness, and multiple-zone automatic climate control that maintains the set temperature inside the cabin differently for the co-passenger, driver, and rear seating passengers.
Thanks to the 3,080 mm wheelbase, all occupants are set to get large legroom to sit comfortably even for a long drive. Its width and height of 1,825 mm and 1,998 mm, respectively, also give large shoulder room and headroom for all, enhancing the seating comfort and practicality.
