2026 Zeekr 009 EV MPV Launches May 19: 912 hp & 740 km CLTC Range
Zeekr, a subsidiary of Chinese automaker Geely, is all set to launch the 2026 Zeekr 009 on May 19, 2026, in China. It is an all-electric premium MPV, whose pre-sale is already taking place from April 24, 2026; the pricing is yet to be revealed. However, it is expected to cost between 440,000 and 550,000 yuan, which translates to $65,000 and $80,000.
It is set to be available for sale in three variants, which include Ultra, Ultra+, and Ultra+ Executive. The first two come with the seating capacity of 7 in a layout of 2-3-2, and the last one with 6 in a configuration of 2-2-2 with Sofaro first-class aviation seats in the middle row featuring separate armrests, adjustable headrests, and leg rests.
The second-row seats for the six-seater also come with heated, ventilated, and massage functions. Behind the third-row seat, there’s a boot space of 574 liters, which is expandable up to 2,979 liters by folding down all rear seats. Inside the cabin, at the center of the dashboard, there is a 16-inch touchscreen that acts as the control panel of the cabin, as most of the settings are touch-based.

It also features a digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel showing all driving data and a 35.95-inch AR-HUD, which projects primary driving details on the windshield to ensure that driver stays focused on the road. For the entertainment of rear-seating passengers, a ceiling-mounted 17-inch OLED display is added, which supports Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, and web browsing.
The entire cockpit is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 with a smooth user interface. To ensure a good quality audio experience, it features a 20-speaker Yamaha sound system. Ambient lighting inside the cabin syncs with music that enhances the mood for night driving, and a noise cancellation feature is also installed that keeps the cabin quiet even at the speed of 120 km/h.
Some other notable features are foldable trays for working and eating, a built-in refrigerator for heating and cooling drinks, a wireless charging pad at the front, USB Type-C ports across the cabin, three-zone climate control, a Hi EVA voice assistant, OTA software updates, and LiDAR-based ADAS that is powered by the Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip, which makes the driving almost autonomous.

Dimensionally, it measures 5217 mm in length, 2024 in width, and 1812 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 3,205 mm, quite large in a segment that ensures each occupant gets ample legroom, and ground clearance is 142 mm, good enough to pass the small potholes and speed breakers in urban areas.
It comes with a dual-motor setup, one on each axle, featuring an all-wheel drive configuration, and uses a single-speed automatic transmission. All three variants are offered with the same 108 kWh CATL Qilin battery pack, but the range for the first one is 720 km (448 miles), and the last two are 740 km (460 miles) on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle.
Electrical architecture for the base variant is 800-volt with a power output of 603 hp (450 kW) and peak torque of 693 Nm (511 lb-ft), which accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 4.5 seconds, but for the mid- and top-trim, it is 900-volt, which generates the power of 912 hp (680 kW) and torque of 913 Nm (673 lb-ft), making its sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 3.9 seconds, and the top speed for all is 220 km/h (137 mph).
The variant based on 800 volts is expected to support DC chargers up to 350 kW, which will take around 15 minutes for 10-80% charging, but the variants based on 900 volts are likely to support 12C charging, which takes only 7 minutes for 10-80% charging.
