Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Cruiser India Launch 2026 – 27 hp & ₹2.5 Lakh Price
The American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson, which is working in India with the collaboration of Hero MotoCorp, is all set to launch the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Cruiser in the Indian market in 2026, date not yet confirmed, but most likely during the festive season, i.e., in October 2026.
The motorcycle is the third two-wheeler model from the brand under the 350cc-450cc segment after the X440 and X440T, whose ex-showroom prices are expected to be between ₹2.5 lakh and ₹3 lakh. The company has recently announced its launch with the release of its sketch.
The sketch they have released reveals all about its design. It has a long and low cruiser stance, which reflects the classic Harley cruiser styling; raked front forks and a larger front wheel paired with a smaller rear wheel provide a traditional cruiser stance and relaxed steering feel, and the teardrop-shaped fuel tank reflects the brand’s signature design.
Other notable features from the sketch are a scooped rider seat that gives a comfortable seating position, forward-biased ergonomics to ensure comfort even during highway cruising, a short rear fender to give it a slightly bobber-inspired appearance, a low-slung exhaust line to make the side profile clean, and a muscular rear section that gives it a more solid visual stance.
Once launched, the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Cruiser will compete with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Jawa 42 Bobber QJ Motor SRV 300 and Honda Hness CB350. All specifications and features are yet to be revealed, but most likely its dimensions in terms of length, width and height will be 2250 mm, 900 mm and 1150 mm, respectively, with a kerb weight of 195 kg.
Its wheelbase and ground clearance are expected to be the same as those of its siblings, which are 1418 mm and 170 mm, respectively. With a 1418 mm wheelbase, the motorcycle is set to enhance stability at the top speed, and the ground clearance of 170 mm is ideal for the Indian road conditions to tackle potholes and speed breakers.
The seat height is expected to be under 800 mm to ensure that even short-height riders can ride it comfortably. Its wheel size isn’t revealed, but in the sketch that the brand has made public, it hints that the front will be 19 inches and the rear will be 16 inches in diameter.
It will be built on the X440 platform, which is also used in its sibling, meaning its front and rear suspension is set to be telescopic USD forks and twin shock absorbers. Like its siblings, its braking will also be managed by discs. It will also feature double-channel ABS, which prevents the wheel from locking in case of sudden braking.
Expected to get a round TFT (Thin Film Transistor) display showing all the riding data, including speed, tachometer, gear position, fuel level, trip meter, odometer and clock. It will support Bluetooth connectivity for call alerts, SMS notifications and music controls. May also get a USB port for phone charging.
Reportedly, the Harley Davidson Sprint 440 Cruiser will be powered by a 440cc single-cylinder oil-cooled fuel-injected ride-by-wire throttle system, which is bolted with the 6-speed manual gearbox. The motorcycle is certain to feature a slip-and-assist clutch and chain-drive system. Its power output is 27 hp at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
The acceleration timing for 0-100 km/h is expected to be under 9 seconds, and the top speed may go up to 140 km/h. Fuel efficiency may be 30-35 kmpl, depending on the riding style, traffic and highway usage. It is likely to have a fuel tank of 13.5 litres featuring a range of 405-470 km.
