XPENG G6 Launching in Sri Lanka on May 15 — 570 km Range & Up to $93,874
Evolution Auto, an EV distributor in Sri lanka, is all set to introduce the XPENG G6 in the domestic market on May 15, 2026, with an exclusive launch event. The price is yet to be revealed; reportedly its launch will happen with the price between 24.5 and 30 million Sri Lankan rupees, which is equivalent to 76,663 to 93,874 American dollars. Once launched, it will compete with BYD Sealion 7, Deepal S07, and Zeekr 7X.
Seating, Dimensions & Cargo
The XPENG G6 comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2 and 3. Thanks to its long wheelbase of 2,890 mm, each rear seating passenger gets ample legroom. Its dimensions in terms of length, width and height are 4,753 mm, 1,920 mm and 1,650 mm, respectively, making it a mid-size coupe SUV ensuring a spacious cabin for occupants’ comfort.
The car comes with a ground clearance of 160 mm at a good ride height to easily navigate through the potholes and speed breakers. The cabin has a trunk at the rear with the cargo capacity of 570 litres that helps with carrying multiple pieces of luggage; it can be expanded to 1,374 litres by folding the rear seats that enables carrying more big pieces of luggage.
Features & Technology

The XPENG G6 is based on “Nebula” cabin architecture; seats are made up of synthetic leather with cloud-like curves for better ergonomics. Both front seats are electrically adjustable and feature heating and ventilation functions to enhance comfort; the driver’s is in 8 ways, including 4 with lumbar support, and the passenger’s is in only 6 ways.
The rear seats come with heating that keeps the occupants warm during the extreme cold; they have adjustable backrests to allow occupants to sit comfortably and stay comfortable for long drives. Features a panoramic sunroof with UV and heat protection to make the cabin airy and spacious.
At the centre of the dashboard, there is a 15.6-inch Floating Touchscreen as an infotainment system which runs on Xmart OS and is powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chipset. Also comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel that shows all the driving data.
To enhance the theatre-like audio experience inside the cabin, it features an 18-speaker Xopera 2.0 Audio System that includes driver-seat headrest speakers for call and navigation prompts. Features two wireless charging pads with air-cooling to ensure fast charging without getting heated.
Also have the ‘Hey XPENG’ voice assistant, which features a four-zone audio recognition feature and controls all the touch-based settings of the cabin with voice command. To make driving autonomous, it comes with XPILOT 2.5, which includes 12 ultrasonic sensors, 5 millimetre-wave radars, and 12 high-definition cameras.
Powertrain & Performance
The XPENG G6 is made on the SEPA 2.0 platform, which is available with both RWD and AWD drivetrains. The RWD is available in two trims that include standard-range with a 66 kWh LFP battery and long-range with an 87.5 kWh NMC battery, whose range is 435 km and 570 km, respectively, on the WLTC scale; and AWD in a single trim with an 87.5 kWh NMC battery whose WLTC range is 550 km.
The power output for RWD and AWD variants is 255 hp for standard-range and 282 hp for long-range and 476 hp, respectively. The peak torque for RWD is 440 Nm, but for AWD it is 660 Nm. The 0-100 km/h acceleration timing ranges from 4.1 to 6.6 seconds, and top speed goes up to 200-202 km, depending on the variant.
The car is based on 800-volt electrical architecture. It supports an ultra-fast 280 kW charger that takes 20 minutes for 10 to 80 per cent charging for an 87.5 kWh NMC battery pack, but with the 66 kWh LFP battery pack, it takes only 15 minutes. The standard 11 kW AC on-board charge takes 7 to 9 hours for a full charge, depending on the battery pack.
