Geely Galaxy Starship 7 EV Revealed: 605 km Range, 800V, Pre-Sale from $16,150
The Chinese automaker Geely has revealed an all-electric version of the Galaxy Starship 7, a mid-size SUV, and it is set to be positioned above its sibling, the Galaxy E5. It is built on the GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) platform, which is also shared with its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version and models like the Lynk & Co 900.
The company announced its price and launch details. Before launch, it will go for a pre-sale that may start in May 2026 with the price between 110,000 and 150,000 CNY (16,150 and 22,000 USD). A few weeks after the start of pre-sale, the vehicle will arrive at the dealership, and then the launch will happen.
Battery, Range & Charging
The Galaxy Starship 7 EV is revealed with two Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery packs, which are 60.2 kWh and 68.39 kWh. The standard variant offers a CLTC range of 525 km (326 miles), and the one with the larger battery pack runs for 605 km (376 miles), making it a strong competitor to upcoming entry-level EVs like the Hyundai IONIQ 3.
The electrical architecture is 800-volt and supports DC chargers up to 350 KW. With the maximum capacity, it takes 12-15 minutes for 30 to 80 percent charging, which can add a CLTC range of 300 km (186 miles). Also, get an 11 kW AC charger for home charging, which takes 7-8 hours for a full charge.
Motor Setup & Performance
The Galaxy Starship 7 EV is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor at the front axle. The setup features a front-wheel drive drivetrain and a single-speed automatic transmission. The power output is 218 hp (160 kW); peak torque is 300 Nm (221 lb-ft).
Geely is yet to reveal the 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) acceleration timing, and top speed is yet to be revealed. It is more likely to reach the speed of 100 km/h (60 mph) from zero; it will take 7 seconds, and the maximum speed it can reach is 180 km/h (112 mph).
Interior & Features

The Galaxy Starship 7 EV cabin features the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system, which includes a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen for occupants’ infotainment, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster that shows all driving data, and a 13.8-inch HUD projecting the primary driving information on the windshield so the driver stays focused on driving.
It gets a 16-speaker premium audio system for a theater-like sound experience and also features headrest speakers for immersive audio. It features a power-adjustable seat with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. Other feature highlights are dual-zone climate control AC, a 50W cooled wireless phone charging pad, and a power tailgate.
Dimensions & Space

The dimensions in length are 4,740 mm, which makes it larger than compact SUVs; width is 1905 mm, featuring a wide stance that results in better stability and good shoulder room; and height is 1685 mm, which is balanced to ensure ample headroom for all. The wheelbase of 2755 mm gives excellent rear legroom and comfort.
It comes with a seating capacity of 5 people with a layout of 2 and 3. The second row seats feature bench-type seating; thanks to its spacious cabin, three adults can easily sit. The boot space is 528 liters, which expands to 2065 liters in case of folding them.
Exterior & Design
The Galaxy Starship 7 EV features a modern and tech-focused SUV with a drag coefficient of 0.278 cd. Up front, it gets a closed-off grill, the same as its PHEV version, but with modern fissuring for better aerodynamics. Get a full-width LED DRL light bar in a star-ring shape to reflect identity and improve visibility.
On the sides, it has a strong shoulder line, slightly sloping roofline, flush-type door handles, and large alloy wheels; and the rear of the vehicle gets a full-width LED taillight strip in signature styling, creating a wide stance that improves its road presence, and the tailgate features a clean and minimal design.
