TVS Rolls Out 10 Lakhth iQube Electric Scooter From Hosur Plant

TVS Motor Company launched the TVS iQube, an electric scooter, back in January 2020. Recently, the manufacturer made an announcement that they have completed the production of 10 lakh units

It took 6 years for the company to achieve the goal; in the first 3 years, they only produced 100,000 units. After that, the next launched unit was processed within 10 months. To touch the milestone of 3 units of production, it took them 52 months after the launch.

After achieving the milestone of 3 lakh units of production, the company produced 4 lakh more units within 17 months, then took just 3 months to produce 1 lakh more units, and now they have produced 10 lakh units just within 16 months after completing 5 lakh units of production.

Currently, TVS Motor Company is selling the model in more than 3,300 dealerships in over 3,000 cities. In 2026, from January to May, they sold 193,756 units, including 37,560, 38,054, 38,757, 37,193, and 42,192 in January, February, March, April, and May, respectively. 

Interestingly, in every single month it has recovered the positive year-on-year growth. It registered YoY growth of 50.29% in January, 61.38% in February, 46.26% in March, 34.74% in April, and 53.00% in May. 

They have shared that the TVS iQube owners have ridden the model over 14.94 billion kilometers since the launch, which has theoretically reduced 522,969 tonnes of carbon emissions, equivalent to planting 20.9 million trees.

The TVS iQube is available for sale in the Indian market in six variants: 2.2 kWh, 3.1 kWh, 3.5 kWh, S 3.5 kWh, S 4.7 kWh, and ST 5.3 kWh. The ex-servicemen received ₹1.11 Lakh, ₹1.21 Lakh, ₹1.32 Lakh, ₹1.39 Lakh, ₹1.62 Lakh, and ₹1.62 Lakh, respectively. With the 950 watt charger, the 2.2 kWh battery pack takes 2 hours; the 3.5 kWh takes 3 hours; the 4.7 kWh takes 4 hours; and the 5.3 kWh takes 5 hours for 10 to 80 per cent charging. The length, width, and height are 1805 mm, 645 mm, and 1140 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 1301 mm, and ground clearance is 157 mm. 

The seat height is 157 mm, and the kerb weight is 110 kg for the 2.2 kWh battery pack variant, 116.8 kg for 3.1 kWh, 119.1 kg for 3.5 kWh, 128.8 kg for 4.7 kWh, and 132 kg for 5.5 kWh. Under-seat storage is 30 litres and can be used for carrying small bags and keeping the helmet while not riding.

It is built on a tubular structure whose front and rear suspension are telescopic, and the rear are adjustable hydraulic twin-tube shock absorbers. The front wheel has a 220 mm disc brake, and the rear wheel has a 130 mm drum. Get a 12-inch alloy wheel with 90/90 tyres.
