The Range Rover Electric, the all-electric version of the flagship Range Rover, made its public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2026; for the same, the booking has begun officially from September 2, 2026, for Indian drivers who are interested in buying this car. The booking is already taking place through the authorized Range Rover (Jaguar Land Rover) retailer in India.
To book this vehicle, a payment of 10 lakh rupees is required. Drivers who are interested in buying the model may visit the nearest dealership to book a unit by depositing the required amount. The advantage of booking before the launch is that shortly after the market launch those who will have booked will get delivery preference.
Booking may last long.
The booking of the Range Rover Electric for the Indian market began with the launch in the European market; the date for the Indian launch is still uncertain. The report suggests that the carmaker will launch in the Indian market by late 2026, announcing the price and all the pending specifications and features.
The booking has begun for the Indian market. In total, five variants have been disclosed for the Indian market; these are Autobiography, First Edition, SV, SV Ultra, and SV Black. The first two come with the standard wheelbase, and the last three with the long wheelbase, making the cabin more spacious.

The design of the pure-electric counterpart is quite similar to the ICE-powered Range Rover; the main differences are the aerodynamically optimized grille and wheels and no exhaust pipes. The dimensions for both SWB and LWB are similar. It underpins JLR’s MLA-Flex (Modular Longitudinal Architecture) getting an 118.5 kWh double-stacked battery with the 800-volt electrical architecture.
Equipped with two electric motors, one available on each axle, the combined maximum power output is 551 hp, and peak torque is 850 Nm. Its 0 to 100 kmph acceleration timing is 4.5 seconds, and its top speed is 200 kmph. When the battery is fully charged, it can run up to 500 km under WLTP conditions. Support DC chargers up to 350 kW, which take 22 minutes for 10 to 80 percent charging.
The 10 minutes of charging can add the WLTP range of 220 km. Since the e-motor is present on each axle, its drivetrain is all-wheel-drive. It also features Single Pedal mode, integrated Traction Management, and Traction response in as little as 50 milliseconds. It has 900 mm water-wading capability, can climb slopes up to 45 degrees, and smoothly pull away on slopes up to 33 degrees.
Its cabin has a 13.7-inch digital driver’s display, a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an AI-based range predictor. It also features digital twin technology for monitoring battery health and vehicle data. The infotainment screen also supports over-the-air software updates, intelligent navigation, and live traffic information.
Other features that are added to enhance comfort and premiumness inside the cabin are four-zone climate control, a sliding panoramic roof, a Meridian Signature Sound System, a wireless phone charging pad, and 24-way electrically adjustable front seats with both heating and cooling features.
The ICE-powered Range Rover is already on sale in India.
The fifth-gen Range Rover that is powered by an internal combustion engine is available for sale in the Indian market from 2021 in a total of four variants: HSE, Autobiography, SV, and SV Ultra, with the starting ex-showroom prices of ₹2.40 crore, ₹2.57 crore, ₹3.83 crore, and ₹4.18 crore, respectively. The nameplate has been on sale in the Indian market from 1970, when it was introduced as a 3-door luxury off-road SUV.
