The Mahindra BE 6, a mid-size pure-electric sport utility vehicle, is available for sale in the Indian market from November 26, 2024, in a total of nine variants. Reportedly, Mahindra Auto is going to introduce a few refreshments inside the cabin that are likely to be known as the 2026 model year. It will make its debut most probably on August 15, 2026, with three interior changes, which are
- Triple screen: An entertainment screen for the co-passenger is set to be added, similar to the XEV 9e and XEV 9s from Mahindra Auto 6. Notably, the screen will support wireless smartphone connectivity for video streaming and also feature over-the-air software updates.
- Redesigned dashboard: The dashboard is all set to see some tweaks so it can easily mount all three screens, which include the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and entertainment display. The layout is anticipated to be more conventional for better practicality.
- Black-and-tan upholstery: All seats are set to get black-and-tan upholstery to enhance the cabin’s aesthetic and premiumness.
Besides these three upgrades, all others are set to remain the same. Notably, the upcoming one is expected to be available for sale in the Indian market with slightly costlier pricing than the existing one. They are going to introduce the Mahindra BE 6 with interior feature upgrades to make it more appealing to buyers and strengthen its positioning against the Tata Sierra EV, which also comes with a three-screen setup and premium-like interior.
Currently, the BE 6 from Mahindra Auto is available for sale with an ex-showroom price between ₹18.90 lakh and ₹26.90 lakh. The upcoming one is most likely to cost between ₹19.5 lakh and ₹27.5 lakh. After being reintroduced, it is expected to see a little surge in the monthly sales and give tough competition to Tata Motors’ Sierra EV, which is also on sale with similar pricing.
After the launch in November 2024, its delivery began in February 2025. Since then, a total of 21,263 units of the Mahindra BE 6 have been delivered until June 2026. The month-wise sales figures with month-on-month growth are available in the table below for clarity.

The highlights number of units were sold out in October 2025, registering a 12.6% growth on a month-on-month basis. The most recent sales figures are 1,150 units; in June 2026, they registered a MoM of 27.5%, and on a year-on-year basis, the sales have declined by 3.9%.
Notably, the BE 6 is available for sale as a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, getting a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission on the rear axle, which generates the maximum power of 170 kW (228 hp) and 210 kW (282 hp) with the 59 kWh and 69 kWh battery packs, respectively, but their peak torque is 380 Nm. The top-end variant takes 6.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.
But its main competitor in the Indian market, the Sierra EV from Tata Motors, is also available with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain, getting a PMSM with a one-speed automatic gearbox on the rear axle and an induction motor on the front axle, whose combined power output is 306 hp (228 kW) and peak torque is 504 Nm, featuring 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing of 5.8 seconds, 0.9 seconds faster.
If Mahindra Auto also introduces a four-wheel-drive variant for the Mahindra BE 6, then there will be a rivalry to see which one drives more buyers to their showroom. Although as of now, there’s no confirmation or update on it.
