On August 15, 2026, Mahindra Auto, one of the leading automobile manufacturers in the Indian market, finally launched the BE 6 Sporteq, and deliveries are set to start from August 26, 2026. They have introduced the model in multiple variants, with the ex-showroom prices starting from ₹19.45 lakh, which goes up to ₹26.95 lakh. The Sporteq edition for the BE 6 is available for all three battery packs, which are 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh.
They have also introduced the model under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) scheme, where buyers have to pay the amount for a full vehicle except for the battery pack and pay ₹3.75 for each kilometer of battery use. The BaaS scheme is applicable only for the variant equipped with a 59 kWh battery pack; two variants are available for sale under their scheme, which are ONE and TWO, with the prices of ₹11.45 lakh and ₹12.95 lakh, respectively.
With the regular price, the 59 kWh battery pack is available in three variants, which are ONE, TWO, and THREE; their ex-showroom prices are ₹19.45 lakh, ₹20.95 lakh, and ₹21.95 lakh, respectively. The 70 kWh version has only two variants, THREE with a cost of ₹22.95 lakh and THREE+ with ₹23.95 lakh. The 79 kWh trim in five variants, whose ex-showroom prices are as follows:
- THREE+: ₹24.95 lakh
- FOUR: ₹26.95 lakh
- LAUNCH EDITION: ₹26.95 lakh
- FREEDOM EDITION: ₹24.45 lakh
- FREEDOM EDITION FOUR: ₹26.95 lakh
Notably, the LAUNCH Edition gets a color option of Graphite Stone in a matte finish to highlight existing body creases and aerodynamic elements. Sporteq’s exterior is the same as the standard model.
Outside, it retains a C-shaped LED daylight running light, slim LED headlights, an enclosed front grille, bumper-integrated fog lamps, a flush-type handle for the front, a C-pillar-integrated handle for the rear door, A-pillar-mounted ORVMs, chromed black cladding on the wheel arches and lower body, C-shaped LED taillights, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin of the Sporteq has received many upgrades and changes, improving aesthetics and premiumness. Now, it has a totally revised dashboard that is equipped with three 12.3-inch displays: one before the co-passenger, the newly added unit; another at the center of the dashboard as an infotainment system; and a third one behind the steering wheel as the driver’s display.
Earlier, the dashboard had a halo-like loop around the driver; now it has a horizontal layout, which has enhanced practicality to access the wireless phone charging pad and USB charging port from the passenger side. Now, the center console has a new cup holder providing storage for the driver/co-driver’s beverages. The Black and Tan interior theme further enhances the cabin aesthetic.
The Sporteq edition has six TEQ technology suites, which are TEQ_Me to recognize the driver and adjust settings, TEQ_Drive to add new driving modes and performance features, TEQ_Play to add gaming and karaoke, TEQ_Talk to enable Google Gemini for voice commands and vehicle controls, TEQ_Secure to add security and digital key features, and TEQ_xting to display personalized messages at the tailgate display.
There’s no change in the powertrain. It still gets a PMSM with single-speed automatic transmission on the rear axle and features a RWD variant. With the 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh battery packs, the permanent magnet synchronous motor generates the maximum power of 231 hp, 245 hp, and 286 hp, respectively; the peak power is 380 Nm.
The MIDC range is 548 km for the first, 651 km for the second, and 683 km for the third battery option. Notably, it supports 140 kW, 160 kW, and 180 kW DC chargers up to 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh battery packs, respectively, which take 20 to 80 percent charging. AC charger options of 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW for home charging are available with additional payment.
