Hero Motorcorp officially launched the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V on October 16, 2026, in a total of three variants: Standard, Pro, and Carbon, whose ex-showroom prices are ₹1.27 lakh, ₹1.37 lakh, and ₹1.41 lakh, respectively. Launching the 2026 model, the company has further enhanced its positioning against the TVS Apache RTR 160.
The nameplate is on sale in the Indian market from 2023. The recently launched updated model follows the Combat Edition launch that Hero Motocorp introduced at the end of last year, introducing cruise control, ride-by-wire, and an updated negative LCD screen. The 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V now comes with the refined design and TFT display.
Notably, the 2026 model went on sale with a sharper silhouette than the Combat Edition. It has received major design refinement on the fuel tank and seat cowl around the back. The currently introduced ‘Standard’ variant is actually the earlier base model, the ‘Pro’ name is given to Combat Edition, and ‘Carbon’ is an all-new offering.
Delivery date confirmed.
Hero Motorcorp itself has confirmed that the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Pro and Carbon variant deliveries are scheduled for November 2026. The actual delivery date is still uncertain; reports suggest it will start around Diwali 2026. The delivery for the ‘Standard’ trim will start in January 2027.
For now, the manufacturer has only started the booking for the last two variants: Pro and Carbon. The booking for these motorcycles is taking place with the launch with the amount of ₹2,499 at the Hero MotoCorp authorized dealerships and also on the company’s official website.
The new color option is available.
Each variant of the 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is available with new color options. The color options of Firestorm Red and Pearl Black are available for the Standard variant; Pro Red and Pro Black are options only available with the Pro variant; and Abrax Orange, Carbon Red, Carbon Black, and Carbon Grey are the color options for the Carbon variant.

It is worth noting that the Abrax Orange is exclusively available for the top-end variant. The Kevlar Brown, Neon Shooting Star, Stealth Black, Matt Shadow Grey, and Matt Slate Black are the color options that Hero Motocorp has discontinued.
Mechanically it remains the same.
Hero Motocorp says that the 164.32 cc, air/oil-cooled, 4-valve, single-cylinder, petrol-powered internal combustion engine is available on all three variants, which delivers 17.1 hp at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The ICE remains the familiar five-speed manual transmission, and even performance remains the same.
The listing on the company’s official website confirms that the 2026 will take the same 4.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph. The suspension setup varies depending on the variant. The 37 mm KYB Upside-Down Forks are available for the last two variants, and the entry-level variant has conventional telescopic forks.

The 7-step Adjustable Monoshock is available on all three variants of 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The 276 mm Petal Disc for the front wheel with two-piston calipers and the 220 mm Petal Disc on the rear wheel with one-piston caliper are standard for all three variants, but the ABS is single-channel on the Standard and double-channel on the Pro and Carbon.
The 17-inch alloy wheels are available on both ends with 100/80 front tubeless tires and 130/70 rear. The Mechanical Cable Throttle is present on the Standard, while the Pro and Carbon are equipped with Electronic Ride-by-Wire. Three riding modes—Rain, Sport, and Road—are available on the last two variants, and Cruise Control is available on all variants.
