Renault Duster Hybrid Launched

Renault has finally launched the Renault Duster Hybrid to the Indian market on October 17, 2026. The company has extended the lineup of the Renault Duster with this launch. Earlier, this SUV was available for sale only with a turbo-petrol powertrain, and now its launch has taken place with the strong-hybrid powertrain.

The Renault Duster Hybrid comes with the E-Tech 160 hybrid technology that contains a 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine that delivers 108 bhp power and features two electric motors—one is a traction motor, and the other is a high-voltage starter-generator. Renault says combinedly it delivers 158 bhp.

The traditional motor is the primary one that drives the wheel, and HSG is the one that recharges the 1.4 kWh LFP battery pack placed beneath the floor and also helps in starting the internal combustion engine. Affordable to the carmaker, this SUV can run up to 80% on EV mode during city driving, saving fuel and ensuring less emission.

Three variants available.

The Renault Duster Hybrid went on sale in a total of three variants. They are Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. Among them, the last one is the top trim. The ex-showroom price varies for each. The evaluation costs ₹16.99 Lakh, Techno retails at ₹18.99 Lakh, and the emotion price is ₹19.49 Lakh.

Note that Renault has announced them as introductory ex-showroom prices that are valid for delivery by December 31, 2026. After that the carmaker may increase the ex-showroom price. Compared to the top-end model, the entry-level variant is affordable at ₹2.5 lakh, and the mid-level trim is just affordable at ₹50,000.

Delivery date announced.

Renault launched the Renault Duster Hybrid, holding an event where they announced that the delivery will start in November 2026. The carmaker has made it clear that it will be around the festive season, so we can anticipate it to start around the 10th of the month. Its booking is taking place from October 9, 2026, with the token amount of ₹21,000.

Interested buyers may visit the nearest Renault dealership and deposit the required amount to book an unit. Alternatively, one can do so by visiting the company’s official website. Deliveries that booked it earlier are all set to get the delivery preference.

Claimed 29 kmpl mileage.

Launching the Renault Duster Hybrid, Renault has confirmed the 29 kmpl ARAI-certified fuel efficiency. It means this SUV car runs up to 29 kilometers with each liter of fuel if certain conditions are met. The real-world mileage is certain to be a little lower than the claimed figure, as per reports.

The claimed mileage of 29 kmpl is more than its rivals: Grand Vitara Hybrid, Hyryder Hybrid, and Victoris Hybrid. The first two have ARAI-certified 27.96 kmpl, and the last one features 28.65 kmpl. As per Renault, it has 50-liter fuel tanks and can go more than 1,400 km when the tank is full.

0-100 km in under 10 seconds.

At the Rental Dustar Hybrid launch event, Renault unveiled that to accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, it takes only 9.61 seconds, which is quite faster than the other SUVs in the segment. The quicker acceleration is possible because of the Intelligent Multi-Mode Automatic Gearbox and 208 Nm combined torque.

Get ventilated front seats.

Renault has revealed that the Renault Duster Hybrid Evolution variant gets a 18-inch flex wheel and signature grille with an illuminated Duster emblem. The 7-inch TFT driver display, 10.1-inch openR link touchscreen infotainment system, and double-zone automatic climate control are also available.

Its Techno variant gets all from Evolution and also adds LED headlights, desert beige semi-leatherette upholstery, a powered panoramic sunroof, and Connected car services with the MYR app.

The Emotion variant does have 18-inch wheels but a diamond-cut design, and other upgrades over the last two variants are the 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster and Dune brown leather upholstery. The top-end variant also adds ventilated and six-way powered front seats, and powered tailgate.
