Chery Arrizo S: 261 PS Turbo Sedan Debuts at Beijing 2026, Price from $22K

The Chery, one of the leading Chinese auto manufacturers, has revealed Arrizo S, a concept sedan, which is all set to be positioned at the top of the Arrizo lineup. It will target the upper B-class segment, meaning domestically it will compete with the Changan UNI-V, Geely Preface, and Changan Eado Plus.

There’s no word regarding its launch, but the automaker may introduce the sedan in late 2026 or early 2027, as the concept is shown as a pre-production model. Nothing about its pricing is revealed; reports say that it may come at a price between 150,000 and 180,000 yuan (22,000 and 26,500 USD).

Exterior & Dimensions 

As the vehicle is showcased at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, it reveals all about its exterior. Up front, it gets a large hexagonal grill for signature styling and features sharp headlights to add premiumness and give better visibility during the dark nights, equipped with a sculpted bumper at the lower portion with a sport cut to make its front fascia a little eye-catching.

In profile, it features a sloping roofline for better aerodynamics and sportiness, multi-spoke sporty alloy wheels for better efficiency and enhanced road grip, and flush-type hidden door handles for a premium touch. The rear gets full-width LED light to create a wide stance, layered bumper to add depth and sportiness, and clean and minimal surface.

The dimensions aren’t yet revealed. Chery will announce it after the launch; it measures 4850 mm in length, 1850 mm in width and 1480 mm in height. The wheelbase is likely to be 2820 mm for better stability, and a ground clearance of 150 mm is expected so it can easily pass the speed breakers.

Platform & Engine 

Chery’s Arrizo S is expected to share the platform that is used in the Arrizo 8. It will come with a front-wheel-drive configuration, and the vehicle is certain to get an in-house-built 8-speed automatic (8AT) gearbox. It is certain that the car comes with an internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrain.

It is set to get a Kunpeng 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine, whose power output is 261 PS and peak torque is 400 Nm. The top speed may be 210-230 km, as with its sibling Tiggo 9, which goes up to 205 km; it is more expected in the Arrizo S because of better aerodynamics.

The 0-100 km/h acceleration timing may be 6 seconds. The fuel efficiency in the CLTC condition is expected to be 7 litres for 100 km. It may have a fuel tank of 50 to 55 litres, featuring a range of 714 km to 786 km. The important factor that affects fuel efficiency depends on the driving conditions.

Interior & Technology 

The cabin is expected to be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system at the centre and a digital instrument cluster that shows all driving data. There will be very few physical buttons, as all the controls in the cabins are set to be touch-based. 

The infotainment system supports wireless connectivity through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and also offers connected features and AI-based voice control. It will also get multiple-colour ambient lighting, sporty seating for better comfort, and multiple speakers with a premium sound system.

To ensure the safety of occupants, it will have multiple airbags across the cabin that play a crucial role in saving lives. Also features Falcon ADAS, which makes driving a little autonomous with features like highway assist, urban driving assist, and automated parking.
