639 HP, 80 km EV Range: Audi RS 5 Is Coming to India at ₹1.5 Cr
Audi has confirmed that they will launch the Audi RS 5 in India as a completely built unit; however, they haven’t yet disclosed the time or announced the price. It is expected that the sedan may be introduced in India with the ex-showroom price of 1.50 crore rupees. It was revealed globally on February 19, 2026, in both Sedan and Avant body types, but in India, it will debut only as a sedan.
The German automobile manufacturer will introduce it to the Indian market with the same specification and features with which it is sold abroad. Globally, it is available with multiple colour options that include Ascari Blue Metallic, Mythos Black Metallic, Progressive Red Metallic, Glacier White Metallic, Daytona Grey Pearl, Navarra Blue Metallic, Sonoma Green Metallic, Nardo Grey and Floret Silver Metallic.
Its wheelbase is 2,903 mm, and other dimensions such as length, width and height measure 4,896 mm, 1,952 mm and 1,428 mm, respectively. Compared to its two main competitors in India, the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance, it is 102 mm and 54 mm longer, respectively.

At the front end, it features a honeycomb structure with a large grill with Audi’s four rings logo, chequered-flag LED daytime running lights in the slim smoked Matrix LED headlamp housing, and large functional air intakes below the headlights. In profile, it features a coupe-like sloping roofline adding a floating effect, flared wheel arches with 20-inch alloy wheels, double-toned ORVMs with side indicators, and mechanical door handles.
The rear features full-width connected OLED tail-lights, a sharp roof-integrated spoiler to ensure better airflow, an aggressive bumper, a gloss black diffuser and a powered tailgate. Comes with a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2-3, the first two seats are electrically adjustable with memory function, they also feature heating, ventilation and massage. The rear seats have a foldable rear armrest, split-folding, ambient lighting, and separate AC vents for cooling.
The cabin is equipped with an 11.9-inch fully digital instrument cluster under the three-spoke steering wheel with physical buttons. The centre of the dashboard is equipped with a 14.5-inch curved OLED touchscreen infotainment system, which supports both wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; it also acts as a control panel for the cabin, and for the entertainment of front seating passengers, there’s also a 10.9-inch display.

Other notable features are USB charging ports for phone charging, a panoramic sunroof add premiumness and makes the cabin spacious, a wireless phone charging pad added for convenience, keyless entry and start, multi-zone climate control to ensure better comfort for occupants, auto-dimming mirrors, and over-the-air software updates with the connected car technology.
It is offered with the plug-in hybrid powertrain. Under the hood, it gets a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that generates 510 hp of power and 600 Nm of torque. Get a permanent magnet synchronous motor that is mounted with the eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, which generates the maximum power of 177 hp and torque 460 Nm. Notably, the combined power output is 639 hp and peak torque 825 Nm.
The acceleration timing from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.6 seconds, and the top speed is 250 km/h. Its drivetrain is all-wheel drive. Reportedly, it is equipped with a 25.9 kWh LFP battery pack to power the motor, whose zero-emission driving range is 80 km on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure condition. Support AC charger up to 11.2 kW, which takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the vehicle.
