August 18, 2026, will mark the launch of the Skoda Slavia facelift. Two days before the launch, Skoda India, the Indian subsidiary of the Czech Republic automobile manufacturer Skoda, released a teaser video revealing it has new LED tail lamps with a revised and more geometric internal lighting pattern giving a distinct look from the outgoing model and new double-toned multiple-spoke alloy wheels with flared wheel arches enhancing road presence.
Other notable features on the exterior are the revised front grill with chrome detailing to give it a modern touch and make it more appealing than the rivals in the segment; updated headlamps for better visibility during nighttime driving and to add styling to enhance the front view; door handles that remain convenient pull-type to ensure better practicality; and a reworked lower front grille in a piano-black finish to make the front look sportier.
The teaser video also shows a shark fin antenna on the rear roof, reflecting that it continues with the connected car technology, and the Skoda winged-arrow badge at the front for branding. The facelift of the Skoda Slavia is set to be known as the 2026 model. In India, the nameplate was unveiled on November 18, 2021, and the market launch for the 1.0 TSI took place on February 28, 2022, and then the 1.5 TSI, 3 days later, on March 3, 2022.
Since the launch in the Indian market, it hasn’t received any update; on August 18, 2026, for the first time almost 4.5 years after its launch, it will receive a mid-life upgrade to strengthen its positioning against the rivals, including Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Besides exterior upgrades, its interior will also see updates, although they are yet to reveal what changes they made inside the cabin.
Inside the cabin, the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system will continue, but replacing the existing instrument cluster, it will get a 10.25-inch unit under the steering wheel. A few reports suggest that it will have massage functions for rear seats, like they were offered with the Skoda Kushaq facelift. It is certain that the seats will have updated upholstery and updated trim for the window and dashboard to enhance the cabin aesthetic.
The features that we are most likely to see are single-pane electric sunroofs to enhance cabin premiumness; automatic climate control with rear AC vents to keep the rear seating occupants comfortable; an eight-speaker audio system to ensure a better sound system; wireless smartphone charging pads to charge the phone without plugging in; front parking sensors to help with parking; and six airbags to keep occupants safe in case of collisions.
As the 2026 model of the Skoda Slavia is arriving as a facelift, its dimensions will be the same as the existing model, which measures 4,541 mm, 1,752 mm, and 1,507 mm in terms of length, width, and height, respectively, with the wheelbase being 2,651 mm and ground clearance being 179 mm. The fuel tank and boot space behind the second row are set to remain 45 liters and 521 liters, respectively.
Skoda India will offer the Slavia facelift with both a 1.0-liter TSI 3-cylinder turbo-petrol and a 1.5-liter TSI 4-cylinder turbo-petrol internal combustion engine. The former one is currently available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmissions, but the facelift will have 8-speed automatic replacing 6-speed torque-converter automatic, and the former will retain both 6-speed manual and 7-speed Direct-Shift automatic.
The maximum power output and peak torque are 115 PS and 178 Nm for the 1.0-liter TSI, respectively, and the same for the 1.5-liter TSI is 150 PS and 250 Nm. The drivetrain is front-wheel-drive. Regarding its price, no details are available in the public domain. It is set to cost more than the existing one. As the outing cost ex-showroom is between ₹10.00 lakh and ₹18.19 lakh, the expected for the upcoming is ₹11.00 lakh to ₹19.00 lakh.
