The remainder of 2026 is expected to see the launch of three 3 CNG car models. They are Tata Curvv iCNG, Kia Sonet CNG, and Hyundai Alcazar CNG. They haven’t confirmed any date for the launch. Reportedly, the carmaker may introduce them in the last quarter of 2026. The most expected date for its launch is November 2026, because many companies will introduce the model by that time. Tata Curvv iCNG
The Tata Curvv iCNG is expected to be available for sale with an ex-showroom price between ₹11 lakh and ₹13 lakh. May get a 1.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine that is mated with single-speed automatic transmission. In the CNG mode, it is expected to generate a maximum power of 99 bhp and peak torque of 170 Nm. Following the launch, it will compete with the Maruti Grand Vitara CNG and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG.
The length, width, and height are 4,308 mm, 1,810 mm, and 1,630 mm. The ground clearance and wheelbase measure 2,560 mm and 208 mm, respectively. Features a seating capacity of 5 people in a 2-3 layout with a boot space of 500 liters. Inside, it has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel; a 12.3-inch HARMAN touchscreen infotainment system is present at the center of the dashboard, supporting wireless connectivity via wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Kia Sonet CNG
The Kia Sonet CNG is likely to go on sale with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹11.59 lakh and goes up to ₹12.99 lakh for the top end. Set to get a 1.2-liter four-cylinder Smartstream naturally aspirated petrol-powered ICE, it will also be mated with a five-speed manual transmission. The peak power and torque are expected to be 72 bhp and 100 Nm, respectively, in the CNG mode. Its drivetrain option is only front-wheel-drive.
The length, width, height, wheelbase, and ground clearance are 3,995 mm, 1,790 mm, 1,610 mm, 2,500 mm, and 205 mm, respectively. It is also a five-seater with a boot space of 385 liters. The dashboard is equipped with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system at the center and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The front seat is ventilated, and the driver seat is 4-way power-adjustable.
Other notable features are automatic climate control that helps in setting different temperatures for the driver and co-passenger; rear AC vents that keep the occupants cool; a Smart Pure Air Purifier that ensures fresh air inside the cabin; a BOSE 7-speaker premium audio system that enhances the experience; a wireless smartphone charger that helps in charging the phone without plugging it in; and ambient lighting to enhance the mode.
Hyundai Alcazar CNG
The Hyundai Alcazar CNG will be available for sale with an ex-showroom price between ₹15 lakh and ₹20 lakh. Under the hood, it has a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol-powered internal combustion engine that is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. In CNG mode, the ICE is expected to generate 97 bhp of power and 135 Nm. It is 4,560 mm longer, 1,800 mm wider, and 1,710 mm taller. Its wheelbase is 2,760 mm, and ground clearance is 200 mm.
The dashboard has two 10.25-inch screens, one in front of the driver’s seat that acts as a digital instrument cluster and another in the center as an infotainment system. The touchscreen is integrated with the Bose 8-speaker premium audio system and supports wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. Other notable features are ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, and an 8-way powered driver’s seat.
