An Electric 7-Seater Made India's Top 10 in May 2026 - Here's the Full List

The seven-seater cars in India are the first choice for families. Over the years, the segment has seen quite healthy growth. After the May 2026 car sales report, we have come up with the top 10 best-selling seven-seaters in May 2026. Reportedly, in May 2026, a total of 88,830 units of seven-seater cars were sold, including a total of 22 models. Out of total sales, only the top 10 best sellers contribute 93.69%, with a cumulative of 83,224 units.

Among them, the 1st one is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with 20,350 units and a 22.90% market share in the segment; the 2nd is the Mahindra Scorpio with 15,774 and 17.80%; the 3rd is the Toyota Innova + Hycross with 10,325 and 11.60%; the 4th is the Mahindra XUV7XO + XU700 with 9,338 and 10.50%; the 5th is the Mahindra Bolero with 8,933 and 10.10%; the 6th is the Kia Carens + Clavis with 6,208 and 7%; the 7th is the Maruti Suzuki XL6 with 3,770; the 8th is the Mahindra XEV 9S with 3,502 and 3.90%; the 9th is the Toyota Fortuner with 2,905 and 3.30%; and the 10th is the Toyota Rumion with 2,119 and 2.40%.

For clarity, we have also shared a table for the top 10 best-selling seven-seaters of May 2026 with May 2025 sales figures, comparing the sales difference, including year-on-year growth and current segmented market share.

Going through the tabulated data, you may have noticed that the sale figures for the 3rd, 4th and 5th most selling are a combination of two different models; it is because the carmaker has released their figures combinedly. Among the top 10 best-selling seven-seaters in May 2026, Maruti Suzuki has two models; Mahindra has five, including one pure electric; Toyota has four; and Kia has two.

Notably, among the best-selling cars, Mahindra’s XUV7XO and XUV700 are the ones that top with the highest year-on-year growth of 45.1%, followed by Kia’s Carens and Clavis with 37.2%; third is Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga with 26.10%; and fourth is Toyota’s Innova and Hycross with 16.20%; and in the top 10, the Mahindra Bolero is the only model that recorded a year-on-year degrowth of 0.10%.

Compared to April 2026 sales figures for seven-seaters, all best-sellers in May 2026, except the Toyota Fortuner, have recorded positive growth. Please refer to tabulated data to check the sales difference between May 2026 and April 2026 and month-on-month growth percentage for each.
