Best Bikes Under ₹1 Lakh in India 2026: TVS Raider to Bajaj Platina Compared

In the Indian market, there are dozens of bike models that are available for sale with the ex-showroom price under 1 lakh rupees. Among them, only a few are those which actually give value for money with good efficiency, riding comfort and performance. The list includes TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R, Honda SP 125, Hero Splendour Plus XTEC, and Bajaj Platina 110. Let’s have a closer look at each of these motorcycles.

TVS Raider 125

The Raider 125 is a sporty commuter motorcycle, which costs ex-showroom between ₹82,860 and ₹99,081 in New Delhi. It is powered by the air- & oil-cooled single-cylinder SI 3-valve engine, whose power output is 11.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque is 11.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm, which helps it to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.9 seconds, and its top speed is 99 km/h.

Features a 5-speed manual gearbox in the pattern of 1-down and 4-up. Its ARAI-certified mileage is 56.7 kmpl; with the fuel tank capacity of 10 litres, it gives a range of 567 km. It has a ground clearance of 180 mm, a seat height of 780 mm, a wheelbase of 1326 mm, and 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.

Hero Xtreme 125R

The Xtreme 125R is also a sporty commuter; its ex-showroom price is ₹90,800 in New Delhi. It comes with a 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke engine, which is mounted with the 5-speed manual gearbox in the pattern of 1 down and 4 ups, with a chain drive configuration. Generates the power of 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and torque of 10.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

To accelerate from the speed of 0 to 60 km/h, it takes only 5.9 seconds, and the top speed of the motorcycle is 105 km/h. Its ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is 66 kmpl, and it features a fuel tank of 10 litres, meaning its range is 660 km. The wheelbase is 1319 mm, the ground clearance is 180 mm, the seat height is 794 mm, and the wheel size is 17 inches each in diameter.

Honda SP 125

The SP 125 is also a commuter motorcycle that is made specifically for urban riders and is available with the ex-showroom price of ₹88,528 and ₹96,116 for the drum and disc variants, respectively, in New Delhi. The bike is powered by a 123.94cc single-cylinder air-cooled SI engine that comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox in a 1-down and 4-up pattern.

Its engine generates the power of 10.72 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm. To sprint from 0 to 60 km/h, it takes only 6.8 seconds, and the top speed goes up to 107 km/h in ideal conditions. Its dimensions, in terms of wheelbase, ground clearance and seat height, are 1,285 mm, 160 mm and 790 mm, respectively. 

Hero Splendor Plus XTEC

The Splendour Plus XTEC is a commuter motorcycle that is available in three variants, Drum, Disc and 2.0, with the ex-showroom price of ₹79,703, ₹81,471 and ₹82,911, respectively, in New Delhi. It comes with a 97.2cc air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder OHC engine, which generates the power of 8 bhp at 8,000 rpm and torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

It features a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox; to accelerate from 0 to 60, it takes 9 seconds and reaches the maximum speed of 90 km/h. Thanks to i3S (Idle Stop-Start System), it has an ARAI-certified mileage of 70 kmpl, and the fuel tank of 9.8 litres gives a range of 686 km. Its seat height is 785 mm, ground clearance is 165 mm, and kerb weight is 112 kg.

Bajaj Platina 110

The Platina is also a commuter bike that is available for sale in three variants, including Drum, NXT and ABS, whose ex-showroom prices are ₹72,428, ₹74,214 and ₹80,275, respectively, in New Delhi. The bike is powered by a 115.45cc air-cooled single-cylinder DTS-i engine, whose power output is 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 9.81 Nm at 5,000 rpm. 

Its transmission is a 5-speed manual, and its drivetrain is chain-drive. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is 70 km/l, and with a fuel tank of 10 litres, it gives a range of 770 km. The ground clearance is 200 mm, the seat height is 807 mm, both wheels are 17 inches in diameter, and the wheelbase is 1285 mm.
