TVS Raider 125 Gets Two New Variants ‘SXC DD’ & ‘TFT DD’ with Connected Features
TVS Motors has launched two new variants for the Raider 125, a 125cc sporty commuter motorcycle, which are SXC DD and TTF DD; their ex-showroom prices are ₹96,725 and ₹98,550, respectively, in Delhi. They are introduced with three colour options, which are metallic blue, nitro green and string red.
The colour options of Nitro Green are similar to Pearl Siren Blue with Lemon Ice Yellow, which is offered with its main rival, the Honda CB125 Hornet. Compared to the other two colour options in the newly introduced variants of the two-wheeler, the Nitro Green is refreshing as it gives the bike a striking presence.
The main difference between two new variants of the Raider 125 is that the TFT DD gets a 5-inch TFT colour screen featuring more than 99 connected features with a modern and graphical user interface, and the SXC DD comes with a reverse LCD screen that has around 85 connected features with a basic digital layout.
Powertrain & Performance
The new variant Raider 125 is introduced with the same engine. They come with a 124.8cc single-cylinder engine, which features air and oil cooling and a fuel injection system. The drivetrain is chain-drive, and the transmission is a five-speed manual.
Its engine is tuned for quick acceleration and smooth city riding, whose power output is 11.38 PS at 7500 rpm and whose peak torque is 11.2 Nm at 6000 rpm. It gets the iGO Assist feature that increases the torque to 11.75 Nm, which helps in overtaking and slight inclining.

Brake & Suspension
The braking and suspension setup is the same for both new variants. The front and rear brakes are both discs, but the diameter of the front is 240 mm and the rear is 200 mm. The front brake provides strong braking power, and the rear adds stability during the braking.
The front wheel gets single-channel ABS, which prevents the wheel from locking during the sudden braking. The front suspension is telescopic forks, which handle bumps from the front wheel, and the rear is a gas-charged monoshock that is adjustable in five steps; it handles weight and balance.
Size & Dimension
The dimensions are also the same for both new variants of the Raider 125. The length is 2070 mm, the width is 785 mm and the height is 1028 mm; these measurements make its road presence bold. The wheelbase of 1326 mm keeps the bike stable at high speed, and a ground clearance of 180 mm makes it ideal for Indian road conditions.
The seat height is 780 mm, which gives a comfortable riding position for the individuals with a height between 5’0” and 5’5”. The kerb weight of 125 kg makes it a lightweight motorcycle that can be easily handled, and it is good for city driving. Both wheels are 17-inch in size, and the front tyre is 90/90 and the rear tyre is 110/80.
Design
In terms of design, both are identical.
