Top 5 Upcoming Electric Two-Wheelers in India 2026: Prices & Specs Compared

By the end of 2026, the Indian two-wheeler market will see the launch of dozens of bikes and scooters. Among them, the 5 most anticipated are the Ather EL01, Ultraviolette Tesseract, Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6, Vida Affordable Electric Scooter and Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric. Let’s have a closer look at each of these upcoming two-wheelers.

Ather EL01

The Ather EL01 is a family electric scooter from Ather Energy, whose launch in the Indian market is expected in October 2026 with a price range from 1.05 to 1.15 lakh rupees. Its production is already taking place in the factory, which is located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. The two-wheeler has been spotted multiple times testing on public roads following its patent filing.

It is based on the “E” platform and built on a unibody steel frame; it will be available with a lithium-ion battery pack range from 2 kWh to 5 kWh, the larger one being expected to be introduced with the IDC range of 120 km. The front suspension may be conventional telescopic forks, and the rear is likely to feature an efficient single-sided shock absorber. 

Ultraviolette Tesseract

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is a sporty electric scooter from Ultraviolette Automotive, which is already available for sale with the ex-showroom price of 1.45 lakh rupees from March 2025; however, its delivery hasn’t started yet. Reportedly, the manufacturer is going to commence the delivery in the next few weeks. The booking is taking place on their website at a price of 5,000 rupees.

Available with three lithium-ion battery packs, which are 3.5 kWh, 5 kWh and 6 kWh, whose IDC ranges are 162 km, 220 km, and 261 km, respectively. The first two have a maximum power output of 13.4 bhp, and the last one comes with 20 bhp peak power. The top speed for all three battery packs is 125 km/h; acceleration timing for 0-60 km/h is 2.9 seconds for the top trim.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6

The Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 is an electric scrambler, which was showcased at the EICMA 2025 and the Motoverse 2025. Its launch in the Indian market is expected by late 2026, with the ex-showroom price between 2.5 and 3 lakh rupees. It is going to be the second all-electric two-wheeler from the brand, as they have already introduced the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6.

The two-wheeler is all set to be equipped with the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is expected to generate a power of 20.6 bhp, which helps it to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Reportedly, it will get a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, whose IDC range will be 154 kilometres. Its top speed is most anticipated to be 115 km/h.

VIDA Affordable Electric Scooter

Hero MotoCorp.’s VIDA will soon launch an electric scooter in the Indian market. Many reports say that it may be introduced in August 2026, with a price under 1 lakh rupees. Its launch in the Indian market is highly expected to come with a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, whose IDC range is most anticipated to be around 140 km.

The company is already selling the all-electric scooter VIDA VX2 in four variants: Go 2.2, Go 3.4, Plus KKR Edition, and Plus 3.4, whose ex-showroom prices are ₹99,490, ₹1.11 lakh, ₹1.16 lakh, and ₹1.21 lakh, respectively. The first one is available with the lithium-ion battery pack of 2.2 kWh, featuring an IDC range of 92 km, but the last three come with the 3.4 kWh, which runs up to 142 km on a full charge.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric

The Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric is an adventure touring all-electric motorcycle, which was unveiled at the Motoverse 2025 in Vagator, Goa. In terms of design and look, it is quite similar to its ICE counterpart. The manufacturer hasn’t confirmed any date for the launch, but reportedly, it may be introduced to the Indian market by 2026, with the ex-showroom price being 7-8 lakh rupees.

It is expected to come with a single-motor lithium-ion battery pack of around 14 kWh, whose maximum power output is most likely to be above 100 bhp. Its IDC range on full charge may be between 150 km and 160 km. To accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h, it may take around 4 seconds, and the expected maximum speed of this e-bike is 160-165 km.
