On April 30, 2026, the Indian EV startup Oben Electric launched an all-electric motorcycle, RorrEvo, with the ex-showroom price of ₹99,999 for the first 10,000 buyers, and bookings are taking place on the company’s website with an amount of ₹777.

The delivery of the motorcycle is all set to begin in June 2026. After booking for the first 10,000 slots, the manufacturer will increase the price to ₹124,999.

Specifications

The RorrEvo comes with a 3.4 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, which has higher thermal safety and a longer lifespan. In case of the full charge, it gives the IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 180 km. It comes with an onboard charger, which takes almost 1 hour and 30 minutes for 0 to 80 per cent charging; a full charge takes 2.5 hours.

It has an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor, which generates a power of 9 kW and torque of 250 Nm. The motor is mounted with the rear wheel through the chain-drive system, instead of a belt drive often seen in two-wheeler electric vehicles, which gives a more mechanical feel.

Features the acceleration timing of 3 seconds for 0 to 40 km/h, making it ideal for city overtakes and traffic gaps, and the top speed is 110 km/h, suitable for both city and short highway riding. It comes with the three driving modes, which include Eco, City and Performance, that help with maximum efficiency, balanced performance and peak power output, respectively.

Underpinning

The motorcycle is built on Oben’s in-house ARX frame; it is the backbone of the motorcycle as it holds the battery, motor, suspension and rider load. It features telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear for better comfort.

Both front and rear get disc brakes for powerful braking, and it also gets the Unified Braking System, which distributes the braking force between two wheels for better stability. Its wheelbase is 1433 mm, providing better stability, and a ground clearance of 200 mm is ideal for Indian market conditions to tackle speed breakers and potholes.

Dimensions & Ergonomics

In terms of length, width and height, the bike measures 2101 mm, 780 mm and 1260 mm, respectively, and gives bold road presence. The bike features an upright riding posture with slightly raised handles and mid-set footpegs, which keep the riders back straight and make daily riding and long rides comfortable.

Comes with a single-piece large seat with a height of 810 mm, giving a comfortable seating position for the rider between 5’5” and 5’10” and a pillion of all heights. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 140 kg, which is quite light and helpful in easily handling city traffic and balancing.

Features & Technology

The motorcycle gets a fully TFT display, which shows speed, battery, range, and riding data and supports navigation and smart alerts. Features a projector LED headlamp with DRL (daylight running lights) for brighter illumination and better night visibility.

Also supports mobile phone connectivity through the application that helps with navigation, calls, SMS, music, ride statistics history, live tracking and remote diagnostics. Interestingly, it comes with SmartIQ, which adjusts the power delivery automatically to analyse the riding style.

Other features highlighted are the Driver Alert System that monitors ride and rider condition and alerts if there is unevenness; fall detection with emergency alert; geo-fencing; theft protection; remote immobilisation; reverse assist to help in reversing the motorcycle; and USB charging ports for phone charging.

Colour Options & Design

The bike is available in multiple colour options, including blue, black, red and white. In terms of design, it has an aggressive stance, muscular body proportions and minimal fairing. They all are inspired by naked street bikes and give them a bold road presence. To add a futuristic electric identity, it gets edgy tank shrouds, angular side panels and a clean tail section.
