₹13L to ₹60L: Every Tata AWD SUV Launching in India 2026–27
Tata Motors is all set to launch four all-wheel-drive configuration cars in the Indian market between the third quarter of 2026 and the first half of 2027. Internally, out of these upcoming four-wheelers, three are electric vehicles, and one is an ICE car. These upcoming AWD cars from Tata Motors are the Tata Sierra EV, Tata Safari EV, Tata Avinya X, and Tata Sierra AWD. Let’s have a closer look at each.
Tata Sierra EV
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be introduced in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price ranging from 19 to 23 lakh rupees. They haven’t announced the date for the launch; reportedly, its launch in India will happen in July 2026. The AWD (all-wheel drive) variant may be equipped with larger LFP battery packs of 75 kWh, anticipated to have an ARAI-certified range of around 550 km.
Inside, it features a triple-screen dashboard; among them, one is set to be a digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, another is an infotainment system at the center of the dashboard, and the last one is the front entertainment screen. Other expected features are ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a 360-degree camera, 12-speaker JBL audio with Dolby Atmos, and Level 2 ADAS.
Tata Safari EV
The Tata Safari EV, an all-electric seven-seater SUV, will make its debut in the Indian market during the festive season. Reports say that its launch will happen by late October 2026 in both FWD and AWD drivetrains. Like the Tata Sierra EV, its AWD configuration is also expected to get 75 kWh and may also be around 550 km. Its ex-showroom price may range between ₹25 and ₹28 lakh for a variant equipped with a double-motor setup.
It is highly expected to be available with a six-seater layout featuring zero-gravity seats that enhance comfort with heating, ventilation, massage functions, and separate armrests and headrests. It may get a 15.6-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and is expected to get a 12-speaker sound system, which will also include tweeters to enhance the audio experience inside the cabin.
Tata Avinya X

The Tata Avinya X is most expected to be built on Gen 3 EV architecture and set to use the technology derived from Jaguar Land Rover’s EMA platform. Many reports say that the carmaker will introduce it to the Indian market with a double-motor AWD drivetrain. The details regarding its launch are still uncertain; many reports say that it may be introduced in India by the first quarter of 2026.
Even though its price is also uncertain, it is more likely that it will be available with the ex-showroom price starting from ₹40 lakh for the standard battery pack and going up to ₹60 lakh for the variant equipped with the larger battery. It is set to be built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, which likely supports ultra-fast charging, which may charge the electric car from 10 to 80 percent within 15 minutes.
Tata Sierra (ICE) AWD

The gasoline-powered Tata Sierra with an all-wheel drive configuration is most likely to be introduced in the Indian market by the first half of 2027. It is set to be built on the ARGOS (All-terrain Ready Omni-Energy & Geometry Scalable) platform, which may get a 1.5L TGDi Turbo Petrol or 1.5L Kryojet Diesel engine, whose peak power outputs are 160 hp or 118 hp, respectively. Transmission options may be 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
Like Tata’s upcoming EVs, the ICE will also be introduced in the Indian market in multiple variants. As of now, there’s no word regarding the price, but many sources suggest that the price is expected to range from 13 to 22 lakh rupees. The interior may get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, a JBL premium sound system, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
