Skoda Launching 3 SUVs in India: 2 EVs & One 6.3s Petrol Beast!
The Czech automobile manufacturer Škoda Auto is all set to launch three sporty utility vehicles by early 2028 in the Indian market. The list includes the Skoda Kodiaq RS, Skoda Epiq, and Skoda Elroq; the first one will be introduced with an internal combustion engine as a petrol-powered car, and the last two with a permanent magnet synchronous motor as electric vehicles. Let’s have a closer look.
Skoda Kodiaq RS

The Skoda Kodiaq RS is most likely to be introduced in India in the second quarter of 2026 by importing from abroad as a completely built unit, whose ex-showroom price may be 60 lakh rupees. It is already available for sale internationally, with dimensions in terms of length, width, height, wheelbase, and ground clearance of 4758 mm, 1864 mm, 1657 mm, 2791 mm, and 187 mm, respectively.
Set to feature a seating capacity of 7 people in a layout of 2-3-2 with a boot space of 340 liters. Notably, the rear seats are foldable; folding down only the third row increases the cargo capacity to 910 liters, making it capable of carrying multiple big pieces of luggage. The interior gets a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display.
Under the hood, it will get a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol internal combustion engine that is mated with the seven-speed Direkt-Schalt-Getriebe (Direct Shift Gearbox). The ICE delivers a power of 265 bhp and a torque of 400 Nm. Its drivetrain is all-wheel drive; to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, it takes only 6.3 seconds, and the top speed is 231 km/h.
Skoda Epiq

The Skoda Epiq will also be imported from abroad as a CBU, but its launch won’t take place in 2026; reportedly, the carmaker is planning to introduce it in the Indian market in the first half of 2027.
