The Scorpio N from Mahindra Auto, a mid-size body-on-frame sport utility vehicle that made its debut in the Indian market back in June 2026 as the next-generation Scorpio, is all set to introduce the facelift of the same probably in August 2026. Many reports suggest that the launch will take place on the occasion of Indian Independence Day, although the official confirmation is still pending.
As of now, there’s no word on the price of the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift. It is expected to be a little costlier than the existing model, as the outgoing one is available with an ex-showroom price between ₹13.49 lakh and ₹24.95 lakh; and the new one may be available with a price starting from ₹14 lakh and may cost up to ₹26 lakh for the top-end.
Following the launch, it will strengthen its positioning against Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar. They are yet to reveal the changes and upgrades, but reports suggest that Mahindra Auto will introduce the facelift with an upfront front grill, revised front grill, and tweaked headlights, including headlamps and daylight running lights at the front fascia, to make it more appealing.
Upgrades on the sides are also expected. The upcoming facelift will see additional or new alloy wheel designs. Minor changes to the taillamps and new exterior are also anticipated. Upgrades and improvements are also expected inside the cabin. The upholstery for the seat and the trim for the window and dashboard are set totally with soft-touch material to enhance the cabin aesthetic.
The top-end variant is set to feature a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and the standard variant is available with a single pane. The touchscreen infotainment system at the center and digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel are set to be 10.25 inches. The centrally mounted screen is likely to support wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for audio and video streaming.
Both front seats are anticipated to be ventilated and heated to enhance seating comfort for both hot days and cold weather. A wireless phone charging pad to charge the phone conveniently and quickly without plugging, a 360-degree camera to get the complete panoramic view, a Harman Kardon premium sound system to enhance the infotainment experience, and two-zone automatic climate control are also expected.
The dimensions are set to remain. In terms of length, width, and height, it will measure 4,662 mm, 1,917 mm, and 1,857 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 2,750 mm, and ground clearance is 187 mm. Features a seating capacity of 7 people in a 2-3-2 layout, which has a boot space of 460 liters. The 6 individuals seating in a 2-2-2 arrangement is also anticipated to make its debut.
No change in the powertrain and performance is expected. Set to be available for sale with the same 2.0-liter TGDi mStallion and 2.2-liter mHawk CRDi, whose displacements are 1,997 cc and 2,184 cc, respectively. Both are four-cylinder turbocharged internal combustion engines; the first one is petrol-powered and the second is diesel-powered. They are available with two transmission options, which are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
The petrol-powered ICE will be available with only RWD, and the diesel-powered with also an AWD drivetrain. The power output and peak torque for the first one are 203 PS and 370 Nm with MT and 380 Nm with AT; the same for the second is up to 175 PS and 370 Nm with MT and 400 Nm with AT. The top speed is 165 kmph for both. The diesel RWD will be available with three different driving modes, Zip, Zap, and Zoom, and AWD with four terrain modes, which are Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand.
