Hyundai Motor India Limited has officially confirmed at the 2026 CEO Investor Day event that two among the 26 cars coming by 2030 also include the third-gen Creta and fourth-gen i10. They don’t reveal any actual date or timeline for the launch, but reports suggest that the former one may come by the second half of 2027 and the latter by late 2027. Let’s have a closer look at these upcoming cars.
Third-Gen Hyundai Creta
The third-gen Hyundai Creta is all set to be based on the K3 platform, which also underpins the second-gen Kia Seltos. This SUV has already been spotted testing multiple times on public roads; the spied image of the same reveals that it will be larger and boxier than earlier ones. Its cabin is set to have an all-new dashboard with a larger touchscreen with Hyundai’s Bluelink infotainment interface.
It is certain that the next generation will come as ICE-powered with petrol and diesel and battery electric. Notably, firstly, they will launch this model with the internal combustion engine, and then a battery electric version will arrive. The report has already confirmed that the ICE will come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel, and a strong hybrid will also make its debut.
This upcoming SUV is internally codenamed ‘SX3’. For now, there’s no official confirmation regarding its exterior change. The spy shots have hinted at the wider-looking front grille, new split-style lighting signature, new LED tail-lamps, new alloy-wheel designs, and flush-fitting door handles. After launch, it will strengthen its positioning against the Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, and Nissan Tekton.
Fourth-Gen Hyundai i10
The successor of the current-gen Hyundai i10 is coming with a completely redesigned exterior, a new-generation interior, potentially larger dimensions, and a new platform and updated architecture. It will be available for sale in the Indian market with both pure-petrol and CNG powertrains. The upcoming hatchback is set to continue with five seats in a 2-3 layout but with better legroom, headroom, and shoulder room.
Currently, it is available for sale with the ex-showroom price starting from ₹5.59 lakh. The powertrain of the next generation is set to be the same as the one already on sale in the Indian market. Set to get a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol-powered internal combustion engine under the hood, two options for transmission will be available: a five-speed manual and a five-speed automated manual.
For this upcoming hatchback, the safety features are set to be enhanced, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and rear parking sensors. As of now, there’s no confirmation that it will get ADAS. The launch of the four-gen Hyundai i10 is all set to strengthen its positioning against the Citroën C3, Tata Tiago, and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Current-Gen 2026 Sales
In 2026, a total of 109,479 units of the Hyundai Creta have been sold out, including ICE and EV. Out of total sales, 17,921, 17,938, 17,838, 15,291, 15,235, 7,168, and 18,088 in January, February, March, April, May, June, and July, respectively; and but for i10, the cumulative sales number is 39,110 with 7,710 in January, 5,589 in February, 5,032 in March, 4,149 in May, 2,920 in June, 4,865 in July, and 4,055 in August.
On the month-on-month and year-on-year basis, the Hyundai Creta has registered the growth of 152.3% and 7.0%, respectively; but the Hyundai i10 registered a 16.7% degrowth on a month-on-month basis and 13.9% growth on a year-on-year basis in July 2026.
