The Mahindra XUV 7XO, a mid-size seven-seater sport utility vehicle, which is available for sale in the Indian market from January 5, 2026, with delivery for which begins on the 14th of the same month. It is one among the best-selling seven-seaters in the Indian market; now it has achieved the milestone of 70,000 sales. This car takes almost seven months to achieve this milestone. Let’s have a closer look at its sales since the launch in India.
70,000 sales breakdown.
Mahindra Auto introduced the XUV 7XO as the successor of the XUV7OO. Currently, this car is available for sale in the Indian market with the ex-showroom price between ₹13.99 lakh and ₹25.79 lakh. The Indian carmaker officially announced on August 29, 2026, that the cumulative sales of XUV 7XO has crossed the mark of 70,000.
In the month on which this car was launched, there were a total of 10,000 deliveries; to achieve the milestone of 50,000 sales, the model took around five months, and in the last two months, 20,000 more units have been sold out. The actual sale figures show that between January and July, a total of 63,900 units were delivered.
The August sales figures are still pending. As the milestone of 70,000 sales has already been achieved by August 29, 2026, it is clear that in the first 29 days of August 2026, more than 6,100 units are already sold out. Month-wise deliveries.
In January, a total of 10,133 units were delivered, which reduces to 9,112 in February with a gap and degrowth of 1,021 and 10.1%, respectively. The numbers of sales for March, April, May, June, and July are 9,210, 8,630, 9,338, 9,244, and 8,233, respectively.
On a month-on-month basis, its sales decreased by 6.30%, 1.01%, and 10.94% in April, June, and July, respectively, and increased by 1.08% in March and 8.20% in May. The sales gaps compared to the previous month in March, April, May, June, and July were 98, -580, 708, -94, and -1,011, respectively. Refer to the table below for better clarity.

In August, total sales for this SUV are anticipated to be around 6,500. Compared to the previous month, the sale seems to be down by approximately 1700 units with significant month-on-month degrowth.
About this 7S SUV.
This seven-seater car is 4,695 mm longer, 1,890 mm wider, and 1,755 mm taller. Its wheelbase is 2,750 mm and ground clearance is 200 mm when no person is sitting. Mahindra Auto is selling this car as a family SUV, which needs performance, safety, smart features, and mileage.
It is on sale with both a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol and a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel internal combustion engine with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The petrol ICE delivers the power of 203 hp and torque of 380 Nm, and the diesel-powered ICE delivers 185 hp power and 420 Nm torque with manual and 450 Nm with automatic transmission.
Its dashboard has coast-to-coast triple HD screens, which are integrated with the 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Features that make it more appealing among the rivals are a 540-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, a 6-way powered driver’s seat with memory, front and rear wireless chargers with cooling, and Zip, Zap, and Zoom drive modes.
Outside, it gets Bi-LED projector headlamps with DRLs, LED taillamps, and up to 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Interior features that make its cabin feel premium are front and rear ventilated seats, an acoustic solar windscreen, retractable rear sunshades, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
