After confirming the name for the upcoming internal combustion engine-powered mid-size support utility vehicles for India, Hyundai Motor has officially released the sketch images of the exterior and dashboard, revealing its front-end and cabin design. The Hyundai Bayon, whose size is anticipated to be around 4.2 meters, will go on sale in the Indian market in the near future, filling the gap between the Hyundai Venue and the Hyundai Creta in the lineup.
What do its sketch images reveal?
Multiple interior and exterior sketch images of Hyundai Bayon are officially made public; the exterior ones have revealed that on the front end it will have ‘H-edge’ LED headlights that integrate slim horizontal-shaped daylight running lights, improving the vehicle’s visibility in the day, and a vertically oriented headlamp for better road illumination at night.
The front-end light seems connected with the black trim at the center, giving the futuristic touch and modern appearance. Other details, which the exterior sketch images reveal, include a sculpted bonnet giving it a more muscular and sporty appearance and a flared front fender that makes its front end wider and more pronounced.
Its interior sketches clearly reveal that its cabin will have a round steering wheel and an integrated digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. The sketch clearly shows that it has a technology-focused cabin with a wide, layered dashboard layout. A raised center console is also visible between the front seats, creating a driver-focused cockpit design.

Hyundai Bayon has been spotted testing on public roads in India multiple times but with the heavy camouflage; the spy shots floating on the internet reveal that the car design is slightly different from the model that is already on sale in the international market. Despite being camouflaged, the spied images reveal that it will have roof rails, squared-off wheel arches, cladding, and an A-pillar outside the rear view mirror.
Exterior spy shots also revealed that it will have blackout pillars for the floating roof effect, a longer wheelbase for enhanced stability, and high ground clearance to easily pass the road with potholes and speed breakers. Reports confirm that it will have conventional door handles to enhance practicality, double-toned alloy wheels for enhanced road presence, and a boxy silhouette giving the rugged appearance.
What do we know about its interior features and technology?
Hyundai Motors hasn’t confirmed anything regarding its cabin. The main touchscreen will support an AI-based voice assistant and connected car technology with over-the-air software updates, as per the reports. Four-zone automatic climate control, a USB charging port at the front and second row, a wireless phone charging pad, and dedicated air conditioning vents are available in both the first and second rows and are most likely to be offered.
A total of six airbags are certain that play a crucial role in saving lives during the accident. With the purpose of enhancing parking practicality, it will have parking sensors at both ends. The electronic stability control and 360-degree camera are also expected for the upcoming Hyundai Bayon. Things regarding the offering of the level 2 advanced driving assistant system suite are still unofficial, but various reports suggest it will be offered with the top-end variant.
What about its pricing?
Hyundai Motors will announce the price for the Hyundai Bayon at the launch event, as this Hyundai med SUV will be placed above Venue and below the Creta; it may cost ex-showroom starting from ₹9.5 lakh, because the prices for Venue and Creta start from ₹7.99 lakh and ₹10.90 lakh, respectively. Following the launch, this car is most likely to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, and Tata Nexon.
