The Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda is all set to launch the two two-wheelers for the Indian market that run on internal combustion engines on July 24, 2026, which will be produced locally. The first one is the Honda ADV160, an adventure-style maxi-scooter, and the second one is the Honda Rebel 300, a modern cruiser motorcycle. Let’s have a closer look at each of these upcoming two-wheelers.
Honda ADV160
The adventure-style maxi-scooter Honda ADV160 is expected to be available for sale with the ex-showroom price around ₹1.6 lakh. It is available on sale in Japan, the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Features a 157cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine that is mated with the CVT featuring programmed fuel injection.
The power output is 16 hp at 8,500 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Top speed is 115 kmph and acceleration timing for 0 to 60 kmph is under 6 seconds. In Japan, its WMTC fuel economy is 42.5 km/l and 52.0 km/l at a constant speed of 60 km/h. The length, width, and height are 1,950 mm, 760 mm, and 1,195 mm, respectively.
Its wheelbase is 1,325 mm, ground clearance is 165 mm, seat height is 780 mm, and kerb weight is 137 kg. Features telescopic forks on the front suspension and twin shock absorbers with external reservoirs in the rear. Equipped with a 14-inch front wheel and a 13-inch rear. Features hydraulic discs on both wheels and an anti-locking braking system on the front.
Between the handles, it has a 5-inch full-color TFT display supporting Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity. Other notable features include the Honda Smart Key, USB Type-C charging for the phone charging pad, LED headlights for better visibility on the road for nighttime riding, an adjustable windscreen to help in reducing air blast on the face, and 27-liter under-seat storage that works as boot space to carry small items.
Honda Rebel 300
The modern cruiser motorcycle Honda Rebel 300 is expected to cost between ₹2.20 lakh and ₹2.50 lakh. The manufacturer is already selling the models in Japan, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and a few European countries too. Following the launch in the Indian market, it will take on the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Jawa 42 FJ, and Yezdi Roadster.
It is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve engine featuring a PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system. The ICE is mated with a 6-speed manual with Honda E-Clutch, whose compression ratio is 10.7:1 and whose bore × stroke is 76.0 × 63.0. They generate a maximum of 31 hp at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 10 seconds, and the top speed is 135 km/h. Its WMTC fuel efficiency is 34.9 km/l, but at the constant speed of 60 km/h it gives a mileage of 47.0 km/l. The seat height is 690 mm, the wheelbase is 1,490 mm, the ground clearance is 149 mm, and the kerb weight is 172 kg. Features a fuel tank of 11.2 liters.
The front suspension is a 41 mm telescopic fork, and the rear is twin shock absorbers. Its front wheel gets a 296 mm disc, and the rear features a 240 mm disc. Also features dual-channel ABS, meaning both wheels’ braking systems are controlled, which prevents wheel locking. Other notable features are the LCD digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, round LED headlight, LED taillight, and LED turn indicators.
