BMW Motorrad has officially revealed the upcoming entry-level naked streetfighter motorcycle, the BMW F 450 R, shortly after teasing it with the teaser. The unveiling has revealed all the specifications and features for the bike, and even the design. It comes with an aggressive appearance, making it appealing for the first buyers who need a sporty bike.
Sporty styling, modern design.
Upfront, the BMW motorcycle gets a sharp LED headlight. This lighting setup ensures better road illumination during nighttime driving. Other details that we get to see at the front end are the brake-shaped LED daylight running light that remains illuminated during the day, enhancing the bike’s visibility in the day.
From the sides, sculpted and athletic fuel tanks with the sharp and angular side are clearly visible, which creates a forward-prowling stance. Its exposed tubular steel space frame adds ruggedness to its looks. The stepped seats and handlebar-mounted looking glass are the other highlights.
Rigid suspension setup and powerful braking.
The BMW F 450 R underpins a tubular steel space frame that is constructed with the welded steel tubes and high-strength forged components.
The heavy-duty 43 mm KYB upside-down telescopic forks are available as front suspension, whose travel suspension is 140 mm. The bike’s rear suspension is a KYB monoshock on the aluminum swingarm; the rear suspension also has 140 mm travel.
Its front brake is a 310 mm disc that is paired with high-performance Brembo 4-piston calipers and also features 240 mm disc single-piston floating calipers at the rear.
Digital instrument cluster, clutchless gear-changing feature.
The German bike maker says that the BMW F 450 R base variant features a 6.5-inch TFT color display between the handlebars. Three driving modes are offered: Rain, Road, and Dynamic, ensuring a comfortable driving experience.

Its exclusive variant is also equipped with Shift Assistant Pro, a bidirectional quickshifter. It helps with clutchless upshifts and downshifts. And also equipped with the adjustable Sport Suspension that features rebound and compression damping.
The Snaefell White with M Motorsport graphics is officially confirmed for the M Sport variant; this variant also has Dynamic Pro mode with a lean angle and lap timer on the TFT display for an enhanced riding experience.
The powerful ICE and excellent performance.
The BMW F 450 R motorcycle gets a 420 cc DOHC parallel-twin four-valve petrol-powered internal combustion engine that delivers 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The ICE has a 135-degree crank offset and is mated with the six-speed gearbox and also features a chain final drive.

It’s a 72 mm bore and 51.6 mm stroke with a 13:1 compression ratio. The company has also revealed the acceleration timing and top speed; they are 5.7 seconds and 169 kmph. Its power-to-weight ratio is 274.2 hp per tonne.
