BGauss OoWah MAX Plus Launched at ₹1.23 Lakh With 145km Range

BGauss, the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, launched the BGauss OoWah MAX Plus on August 13, 2026, with an ex-showroom price of 1.23 lakh rupees. They are selling electric scooters in the Indian market in three families, which are OoWah, MAX C12, and RUV 350. 

The recently launched OoWah MAX Plus is the second model after the OoWah EX in the OoWah lineup. In the MAX C12 series, three models are on sale, including C12i EX, MAX C12i 2.0, and MAX C12 3.0, and the RUV 350 family has two models; they are RUV 350 i EX and RUV 350 MAX.

Get a hub-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission, whose continuous and peak power output is 1.5 kW and 2.4 kW, respectively. Equipped with a removable 3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, giving 145 km range on the Automotive Research Association of India-certified condition. 

Both the battery and the motor are IP67 rated. To accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h, it takes 8 seconds, not too fast and too slow, good to merge into city traffic. Features two driving modes, which are Eco and Sport, whose top speeds are 45 kmph and 60 kmph, respectively. It also features reverse mode, helping with convenient parking. 

Its gradeability is 14 degrees with a rider up to 75 kg of weight; the same is only 11 degrees with a rider and pillion up to 150 kg. These figures are claimed by the manufacturer; the real world may be ±2 degrees. The seat height is 765 mm, ground clearance is 160 mm, and the kerb weight is 104 kg.

With the vehicle, a 750W AC charger comes as standard, which takes 3 hours 30 minutes for 0 to 80 percent charging; the same take 4 hours 55 minutes for full charge. It can support up to 1,350 watt chargers, it comes as optional, and take 1 hour 55 minutes, and 2 hours 50 minutes for 0 to 80 percent and 0 to 100 percent charging, respectively.

Notably, the battery is CAN (Controller Area Network) enabled, meaning the battery pack can communicates electronically with the scooter’s control systems and exchanges information such as state of charge, and voltage and temperature data to make the whole system effective and safe.

The length, width, and height of this electric scooter are 1,730 mm, 750 mm, and 1,125 mm, respectively. It is built on the Tubular platform with a plastic panel. Equipped with 10-inch steel wheels with the 10 × 3.0 tubeless tires. Features a drum brake on both wheels; the rear wheel has CBS, which distributes braking force between the front and rear wheels to ensure safe braking.

Teh front and rear suspension of the BGauss OoWah MAX Plus are hydraulic telescopic and double hydraulic spring, respectively, ensuring a smooth driving experience for the rider and comfortable seating for the pillion. It has both a side and a mid stand for easy and convenient parking. Under the seat, a boot space of 21 liters is available to helps with carrying small items.

Three exterior color options are available including Cloud White, Laguna Blue, and Sage Green. It has all LED lighting, including a headlight for clear nighttime visibility, a taillight to improve scooter visibility to others, indicators to hint to the other road users about the next move, and a number-plate lamp to make the number plate visible during the night, resulting in legal compliance.

One of the notable features is the CAN-enabled digital console at the center of the handlebar with the distance-to-empty (DTE) indicators, which show how much distance the scooter can go with the remaining battery charge. Also have a USB charging port for the phone charging; it helps in charging the phone in emergency cases or power outages.
