VinFast has recently patented a new electric scooter in India, which seems to be exclusively for the Indian market. The patent electric scooter has an Indian-spec design, and it doesn’t match the design of any model that they are selling abroad. This isn’t the first e-scooter which VinFast has patented in India; earlier they patented multiple models that are already on sale in the international market.
The Vietnamese electric vehicle maker entered the Indian market, launching the two electric cars, the VinFast VF 7 and the VinFast VF 6, in September 2025. Their entry in the two-wheeler segment is still due. Reports suggest that VinFast will make its entry in this segment by launching three electric scooters, Evo, Feliz and Viper, in the second half of 2026; however, the official date is still pending.
Recently, VinFast signed Letter of Intent agreements with more than fifty dealerships across the country, including big cities from different states and union territories. The signing of the Lol agreement is a clear hint that the launches of the pure-electric two-wheelers from VinFast will take place shortly. The newly patented e-scooter model has further strengthened the launch anticipation.
Patented VinFast electric scooters.
So far, the Vietnamese EV maker has patented four electric scooters for India, including the recent one whose name is still unknown. The other three patent models are VinFast Klara S, VinFast Rasad, and VinFast Viper. Notably, among the three scooters, according to reports, which will be the first to launch, only the ‘Viper’ has been patented.

The first one, the VinFast Klara S, was patented in India back in February 2024, and the last two, the VinFast Viper and VinFast Rasad, were patented recently. The Viper was patented around this July, and Rasd in August. And the most recent Indian-spec model in October, as per recently emerged reports. Now it remains to be seen which model gets launched first.
Indian-spec all-new VinFast electric scooter design.
The patent images of the all-new India-exclusive VinFast electric scooter have surfaced online, revealing the design. The design seems to be a mix of a sporty and family e-scooter, making it appealing for both young riders and families. Upfront, it has a single-piece front apron that houses the VinFast logo at the centre, and the headlights are placed below the apron, which also features side indicators.

From the sides, we can see a flat floorboard that looks spacious enough to easily accommodate small luggage, subtle stepped seats, and foldable foot pegs for the pillion leg support. At the rear, it has a silver grab rail for secured handholds, and it also adds sportiness to its looks. We can also see taillamps below the rear seat, which seems to also integrate the side indicators.
What else do we know about this VinFast electric scooter?
Besides revealing the design of the Indian-spec VinFast electric scooter, the surfaced patent image also revealed a few details regarding its specifications and features. The five-spoke alloy wheel can be seen on both sides, which seems to be 14 inches in size. On the front wheel, we can see the disc brake with the anti-lock braking system, and the rear brake isn’t visible, but we are expecting it to be a drum, as this is standard in the segment.
The telescopic fork at the front end is clearly visible, which absorbs bumps and uneven road surfaces to ensure a smooth riding experience, and the rear has twin shock absorbers to ensure better seating comfort for the pillion. Regarding the powertrain, nothing is official. A hub-mounted electric motor is clearly visible. And the use of an LFP battery pack is also reported, which seems to be added beneath the floorboard for a spacious boot under the seat.
