Under the price segment of ₹1.5 lakh, in the Indian market, there may be scooter models which offer excellent performance and interesting features. Among them, the top four are the Suzuki Access 125, the Bajaj Chetak, the Ather Rizta, and the Yamaha Aerox 155. Let’s have a closer look at each of them.
Suzuki Access 125

The Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is mated with a continuously variable transmission, whose power output is 8.42 PS at 6,500 rpm and torque is 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The scooter can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in under 7 seconds, and its top speed goes up to 90 kmph. Its ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is 45 kmpl, and real-world is 48 kmpl.

The Ather Rizta is a pure-electric scooter whose length is 1,850 mm, width is 750 mm, and height is 1,140 mm. The seat height is 780 mm, and the kerb weight is 119 kg. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is equipped with a 155 cc 1-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke SOHC 4-valve engine that is mated with a V-belt automatic transmission. The power output is 15 PS at 8,000 rpm, and torque is 13.9 Nm at 6,500 rpm. To accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph, it takes a time of under 7 seconds, and the top speed is 120 kmph.
