Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Launched

The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z launched with the ex-showroom of ₹1.90 lakh getting equipped with the 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, four different riding modes, a USB charging port, and other smart features.

On October 1, 2026, Bajaj Auto officially launched the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with an ex-showroom price of 1,90,015 rupees. It has been introduced as the new variant, which is equipped with the 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. This display supports wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and even features WiFi connectivity.

The Bluetooth connectivity helps with music controls, calls and notifications and other connected features, and WiFi connectivity enables wireless Google Maps mirroring from a connected smartphone. These features make riding more convenient. The new TFT display also features document storage, meaning one may store crucial driving-related documents such as RC, DL, insurance, etc.

Apart from these features, this new variant of Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z also gets four different riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road. These new riding modes enhance the riding experience depending on the road conditions. The off-road mode is all set to provide a smooth riding experience. The switchgear on the handlebar is revised for this model so one can easily operate the new TFT display.

Other features are USB-C-type charging ports that help with carrying the phone during the long journey and power outages. However, things regarding the charging speed are still uncertain. It also features a panic-brake alert that helps in alerting the road users running behind with the frequent flashing pattern.

All the rest remains the same. Meaning, this motorcycle is still powered by a 349cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve DOHC petrol-powered internal combustion engine with the six-speed manual transmission and slipper clutch, which delivers 40 PS maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 33 Nm peak torque at 7,500 rpm.

Notably, the quickshifter is also available for this model that helps with clutchless gear changes. Its power-to-weight ratio is 229 PS per tonne, and it also helps with electronic throttle. The manufacturer confirms that the top speed and acceleration timing remain that of the other variant, meaning it still can reach the speed of 155 km and sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in under 3 seconds.

Even the dimensions of the new variant remain the same. The length, width and height measures 2,007 mm, 807 mm, and 1,075 mm, respectively, with the wheelbase of 1,344 mm, ground clearance of 168 mm, and seat height of 807 mm. The manufacturer has already confirmed that the kerb weight remains 174 kg, and as there are no dimensional changes, the fuel tank capacity is still 12 litres.

Mileage regarding details is still officially undisclosed. We are anticipating it to remain the same as the other variants. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency for other trims of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is 34 kmph, as per HT Auto and BikeDekho. The rear-wheel mileage varies depending on the road condition and driving style; for mixed, the most reported figure is 26-28 kmpl.

Even the mechanical for this motorcycle is retained. The new variant of this motorcycle also underpins the Perimeter frame, whose front and rear suspension is a 43 mm USD fork and Monoshock, respectively. The front and rear brakes are solid discs, but the diameter of the front one is 320 mm and the rear is only 230 mm.

The disc brakes at both ends help with powerful braking with better heat absorption. Various automotive sources also have confirmed the use of 17-inch alloy wheels with the 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear tyres. To avoid wheel locking during the sudden braking, it also features double-channel anti-locking braking, meaning the ABS is present on wheels.

By launching the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with the 5-inch TFT display, Bajaj Auto has further strengthened its positioning against the rivals in the 350cc segments. This model most likely will increase in the monthly sales number around the festive season of 2026, because the buyer who wants a 350cc bike under ₹2 lakh will certainly go with it.
