Bajaj Auto has launched two next-generation motorcycles, the Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar 150, in the Indian market, getting many upgrades and improvements compared to the outgoing model. The Indian 2W and 3W maker has introduced these bikes with new internal combustion engines, crawl technology, and much more.
The Pulsar 125 is available for sale in four variants: base, standard single seat, standard split seat, and premium split seat with ex-showroom prices of ₹92,990, ₹99,291, ₹100,288, and ₹104,318; and the Pulsar 150 in only three trims: Single Disc with ₹115,233, Twin Disc Single Seat with ₹122,184, and Twin Disc Split Seat with ₹123,187.
Five colour options are available for each model; the new-generation 125 is offered with sapphire blue, fury red, ebony black magenta red, ebony black cyan blue, and dark silver, and they are also available for the newly introduced 150 too, except dark silver, because instead of that it has pearl metallic white, ensuring exclusiveness between the models.
The 125 model gets a 125cc engine that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission delivering the power of 12 PS and torque of 11.4 Nm, but the 150 is equipped with a 150cc engine that is also bolted with a five-speed manual gearbox which delivers the 14 PS power and 14.1 Nm torque. They both deliver 85% torque at 3,000 rpm.
Bajaj has improved the power-to-weight ratio for both 125 and 150 models from 81 to 93 and 93 to 100, respectively, enhancing response in traffic, acceleration, overtaking, and performance at higher speeds. In this segment, they become the first motorcycle to be equipped with the Crawl Tech, which moves forward the bike slowly without throttle twist to make it ideal for stop-and-go traffic.
The makers have officially revealed the crawl speed on different gears. The 125 model can run at a speed of 5 kmph with the first gear; after each gear the speed increases by 5 kmph, so it can go up to 25 kmph with 5th gear. Similarly, the 150 model is capable of running at the speed of 10 kmph with the first gear and reaching the top speed of 30 kmph with 5th gear.
The top-end variants of the 125 and 150 models are equipped with the 5-inch TFT instrument cluster behind the cowl that features Google navigation showing turn-by-turn navigation for both city riding and highway cruising. It also supports smartphone connectivity for music controls, message notifications, and incoming call alerts.
Interestingly, the TFT display can also store RTO-related documents that are required for compliance; the owner may have a PUC, RC, insurances, etc. Standard models are available with a coloured LCD showing all riding data. They also come with USB type-C charging ports, which help with the phone’s convenience during the power outage.
Both these models are built on new-generation chassis with the telescopic fork as front and monoshock as rear suspension. The solid disc brakes for the front on both models are standard; the rear gets a drum on the Pulsar 125, and only the double-disc variant gets sold with disc brakes for the rear wheel for the Pulsar 150. They both are equipped with alloy wheels to ensure better handling and stability.
With the launch of the next-generation Pulsar 125 and 150, Bajaj has strengthened its presence in the 125cc and 150cc segments. Now, the 125 model is all set to give more tough competition to the TVS Raider 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R and the 150 to the Honda Unicorn and TVS Apache RTR 160. The new launch is likely to boost sales in August 2026 and upcoming months.
They have chosen the launch timeline for the next-gen 125cc and 150cc at the right time, as the festive season is just a few days away. In July 2026, the total sale for these models was 31,158, including 5,554 units for 150cc models and 31,158 for 125cc, registering a year-on-year degrowth of 67% and 38%, respectively.
