In a previous report, we reported that in August 2026, Audi will launch the third-generation Q3. Now, they have teased the same, hinting its market launch is coming soon. In India, they are going to launch it by locally assembling it. The upcoming one will replace the second-generation model that is available for sale from August 2022.
The third generation is also referred to as the next generation. Notably, the global debut happened in June 2025, and almost 15 months later it is coming to the Indian market. Audi India, the Indian subsidiary of German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi, has yet to unveil the Indian-spec version. Reportedly, the version coming to India is all set to remain the same as the one already on sale in the international market.
The globally debuted version has a split LED headlight setup with a distinctive LED daylight running light on the side below the bonnet, and the main headlamps are on the bumper. Other features at the front end are an octagonal-style single-frame grille in a honeycomb structure with a two-dimensional four-ring emblem, blacked-out vertical sections that sit on either side for an aggressive appearance, and a sculpted bonnet.
On the sides, it has pronounced wheel arches adding a wider stance, a muscular rear section, blacked-out window surrounds, mechanical pull-type door handles, front-door-mounted outside rear-view mirrors with integrated blinkers, roof-mounted rails, and multiple-spoke alloy wheels.
The rear also gets a split LED lightning signature; the full-width tailgate is placed lower on the tailgate, and taillamps in a modern horizontal shape are present above. Other features that it gets at the back are roof-integrated spoilers with a braking light, a shark-fin antenna on the roof, a sporty bumper, and a sculpted tailgate with the illuminated Audi logo.
Inside, it has a D-shaped four-spoke steering wheel with haptic control that is usable with a thumb. The key is wrapped with leatherette with red stitching, giving it a premium feel. Under the slim, it has a slim 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster showing all the driving-related information.
The center of the dashboard has a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen infotainment system, which is tilted a little toward the driver’s seat for a dynamic look. Below the centrally mounted screen, it has physical buttons for control. For the Indian-spec model, wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple Carplay for the infotainment system is certain.
Other features that are most anticipated for the India version are USB-C charging ports, wireless smartphone charging, connected-car services, a panoramic glass sunroof, ambient lighting, keyless entry and start, ventilated and powered co-passenger and driver seats, a 360-degree camera, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and up to eight airbags.
No dimensional changes compared to the international version are expected for the upcoming one. Set to measure 4,531 mm, 1,859 mm, and 1,628 mm in terms of length, width, and height, respectively. Its wheelbase is 2,682 mm, and its front and rear track are 1,585 mm and 1,575 mm, respectively. Its turning radius is 11.8 meters.
As a five-seater, it will have 488 liters of boot space, which is expandable up to 1,386 liters. Powertrain details are still pending. Many reports suggest it will retain it from the next-generation Q3, which gets the VW Group EA888 family 1,386-litre 2.0-litre four-cylinder TFSI turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine, whose power output is 190 hp and peak torque is 320 Nm.
The ICE is mated with a 7-speed S tronic double-clutch automatic transmission; the drivetrain is Quattro all-wheel drive. Its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 7.3 seconds, and its top speed is 220 km/h. Regarding its price, details are still uncertain. It is expected to cost a little higher than the second generation, so we anticipate it to cost ex-showroom around ₹60 lakh.
