The VinFast Rasad, a maxi electric scooter concept from the Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast, has been patented in India. They unveiled the model back in January 2026, whose production model’s global debut is anticipated in late 2026, followed by the Indian market launch will happen.
The concept has an angular and sharp body, giving it a modern and aggressive appearance, equipped with chunky tires adding a rugged stance and a tall front section and windscreen to reduce wind blast on the chest and ensure a stable riding experience.
It has a V-shaped LED daylight running light, above which it has LED headlights, including low-beam and high-beam. Between the handlebar, it has LCD instrument cluster showing all driving data and is set to support Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts.

Feature a single-piece seat with soft-touch upholstery for better cushioning and enhanced seating comfort for the rider and pillion. Behind the pillion seat, it has split grab rails that provide a secure handhold and also help in mounting luggage.
Besides the flat and spacious footboard for riders, it features foldable footpegs for the pillion’s leg support. Other notable features on its exterior are LED taillamps beneath the grab rails and rear-section-mounted side LED indicators.
Equipped with five-spoke alloy wheels, whose size is around 14 inches in diameter, they both have disc brakes. The front has a telescopic fork, and the rear gets twin shock absorbers, ensuring a comfortable riding experience even on rough terrain.

Under the seat, it has a spacious boot that will help carry a college or office bag. A cargo capacity of around 35 liters is anticipated to provide ample space for two helmets; it enhances practicality to keep the helmet secured when not riding.
Its core specifications are still pending. As per the Vietnamese automotive sources, including Vietnam News, it will get a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission at the mid, featuring belt drive to move the wheels.
The peak power output of 7.1 kW and top speed of 100 km/h are mentioned in the reports. As of now, there’s no update regarding its battery pack and range. The Vietnamese EV manufacturer will reveal these details with the global debut.

We are expecting it to be equipped with around a 5 kWh LPF battery, giving around 200 km of range on a full charge on the Indian Driving Cycle. They may introduce this maxi electric scooter with more than one variant; however, it is still unconfirmed.
They will introduce the VinFast Rasad e-scooter in India as a rival to the Yamaha Aerox-E, available for sale with the ex-showroom price of ₹2.82 lakh, as the upcoming one is less powerful than its rival but features can run; it may cost around ₹2.5 lakh.
The VinFast Rasad isn’t the only scooter they have patented in India; they already have done so with two other models, which are the VinFast Viper and the VinFast Sulad. The first model they may introduce here is the Rasad Viper, a sport electric scooter.
Its Indian market is anticipated in the second half of 2026; during the festive season they may launch. It is already on sale in Vietnam, where it gets an in-hub BLDC motor that delivers the power of 3 kW and can reach the maximum power of 75 km/h.
It is equipped with a 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, giving an 82 km range; it can add one added unit and provide a range of 156 km. Its dimensions are 1,907 × 692 × 1,135 mm. Features 780 mm seat height, 138 mm ground clearance, and 1,320 mm wheelbase.
