Previously, we reported that Audi India will introduce the third-generation Audi Q3, Audi A5, and Audi Q9 in three models by 2027. Now, in another report from Autocar India, it is mentioned that apart from these three mentioned above, three more models will make their debut in the Indian market. Interestingly, all are set to be locally assembled.
The other upcoming models besides the third-gen Audi Q3, Audi A5, and Audi Q9 are the Audi Q6 e-tron, the next-gen Audi Q5, and the 3rd-gen Audi Q7. Overall, a total of five Q-series models are set to launch in India by 2027; two of these were included in the previous report, while the remaining three are covered in this one. Let’s have a closer look at each.
Audi Q6 e-tron – Electric SUV & Sportback
The Audi Q6 e-tron’s launch in the Indian market is slated for mid-2027 with the ex-showroom price around 85 lakh rupees. They will launch it as a sports utility vehicle and fastback, both featuring seating capacity of five individuals in a 2-3 layout. Dimensionally, it measures 4,771 mm (187.8 in) in length and 2,193 mm (86.3 in) in width and 2,899 mm (114.1 in) in wheelbase. The height is 1,685 mm (66.34 in) for the SUV, but the same for the sportback is 1665 mm (65.55 in).
It underpins the Volkswagen Group’s 800V premium electric platform. In the international market, it is available for sale with an 83 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, but the Indian model may get a 100 kWh unit, giving the SUV a 641 km range in WLTP conditions; the fastback will run up to 656. Set to make its debut in the Indian market as RWD, getting a PMSM with a one-speed automatic gearbox on the rear axle, which delivers 306 hp of power.
Next-gen Audi Q5 – ICE Compact Luxury SUV
In October 2027, the next-gen Audi Q5 will make its debut in the Indian market; details regarding its ex-showroom price are also pending but highly anticipated to cost 75 lakh rupees. Set to be based on PPC architecture, which gets three screens inside the cabin: a 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, a 14.5-inch touchscreen at the centre, and an optional 10.9-inch display as an entertainment screen before the co-passenger seat.
It will be available for sale in the Indian market with a Quattro all-wheel-drive drivetrain. Under the hood, it gets a localised 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine with 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission, which generates 265 hp of power. It also features a five-person seating capacity, whose length, width and height are 4,717 mm (185.7 in), 2,140 mm (84.3 in), and 1,662 mm (65.4 in), respectively.
3rd-Gen Audi Q7 – ICE Three-Row Luxury SUV
The market launch in India for the third-gen Audi Q7 is slated for December 2027, whose ex-showroom price is expected to be ₹1.2 crore. It is a three-row luxury sport utility vehicle, which is offered with a seating capacity of seven people in a 2-3-2 arrangement and six individuals in a 2-2-2 arrangement with captain’s chairs in the middle. It is 5,072 mm (199.6 in) longer, 2,212 mm (87.1 in) wider, and 1,734 mm (68.4 in) taller with a 3,000 mm (117.9 in) wheelbase.
Globally, it is available for sale with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel (TDI with MHEV Plus), but in India, it will come with a high-performance 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol (TFSI) internal combustion engine equipped with 48V mild-hybrid technology. Its maximum power output and peak torque are 340 hp and 500 Nm, respectively; the transmission option is set to be an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic, and the drivetrain is Quattro permanent all-wheel drive.
