Bajaj Auto, an Indian two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, tested the next-generation Bajaj Pulsar on July 30, 2026, giving a hint of its design and confirming the launch date. They are all set to launch this motorcycle in the Indian market on August 12, 2026. The teaser manufacturer has released with the tagline ‘Twist Into An All-New Rush,’ reflecting that the next-gen model is totally new compared to the outgoing one.
Even with the release of the teaser image, its nameplate is still uncertain. Some reports suggest that the model is the next-generation Bajaj Pulsar 125, and a few reports also claim it to be the next-generation Bajaj Pulsar 150. Which one the upcoming motorcycle actually is will be clear before us at the launch event.
Notably, during the Q1 FY27 earnings call, the manufacturer itself confirmed that they will launch 10 substantially new motorcycles in the Indian market, including two all-new Pulsar models in the 125cc and 150cc segments before the festive season of 2026, i.e., Diwali, so we are expecting that the next-gen Pulsar from Bajaj Auto may make its debut with both 125cc and 150cc engines.
The teaser image they have made public on their social media platform confirms that it has a muscular motorcycle silhouette with a bold, broad, and aggressive shape; a larger front cowl giving it a bigger and more sculpted view; a prominent fuel tank area making it look more muscular; and an upright riding stance with a long seat to ensure comfortable seating for the rider and pillion.
This upcoming motorcycle has already been spotted testing multiple times on Indian roads, but every single time it was heavily camouflaged to hide the design and details. After the multiple sightings, many details have emerged; among them are a few that we also get to see in the teaser image released recently.
Spy shots of test mules, which are available on the internet, reveal that upfront it has LED headlights for better illumination on the road and eye-shaped LED daytime running lights above the main headlight unit. On the side, it has a totally new body panel, side-slung exhaust, split seat, and alloy wheels. The rear has a revised tail section with LED taillamps; below the taillamps it has side blinkers. Other notable things on the beach are grab rails for secure handholds.
The spy image has also confirmed its suspension and braking. On the front, it has telescopic forks, and the rear has a monoshock. The front wheel has a solid disc, and the rear features a drum. They may also introduce top-end variants with solid discs on both front and rear wheel. It is highly expected to get either single-channel ABS that prevents wheel locking or a combined braking system, which distributes braking force between the wheels for safe braking.
If they introduce the next-generation Bajaj Pulsar 125, then it will get a 124.4 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected internal combustion engine with five-speed manual transmission, which may generate the power of 11.8 hp and peak torque of 10.8 Nm.
And if it’s the next-gen Bajaj Pulsar 150, it will be powered by a 149.5 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected ICE that is set to be mated with the same five-speed manual gearbox, whose power output is anticipated to be around 14 hp and peak torque 13.25 Nm.
As the nameplate is still uncertain, it is tough to say how much it will cost. The existing 125 and 150 are available for sale in the Indian market with the starting ex-showroom price of ₹87,255 and ₹113,793, respectively. If the next-generation comes as the 125 model, it may cost above ₹90,000, and if it is a 150 model, then the price may start from ₹120,000.
