In the second half of 2026, the Indian market is all set to see the launch of four cars under the ex-showroom price of ₹10 lakh. They are the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the Volkswagen Tera, the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and the Hyundai Bayon. Let’s have a closer look at the same.
2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The 2026 Brezza, a sub-4-metre sport utility vehicle from Maruti Suzuki, will debut in the Indian market most likely in July 2026 with the ex-showroom starting price of ₹8.5 lakh. It will come with a revised front grille, new front and rear bumpers with a thicker silver skid plate, and dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, it is expected to get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre of the dashboard supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats with leatherette upholstery, a wireless phone charging pad on the centre console, a 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors.
Highly expected to come with two petrol-powered internal combustion engines that are 1.5-litre naturally aspirated with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options with power output up to 103 PS and peak torque of 137 Nm and 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged with 6-speed manual with maximum 100 PS power and 147.6 Nm torque.
Volkswagen Tera

The Tera, a sub-4-metre SUV from Volkswagen, is highly expected to be introduced in late 2026. The carmaker is yet to reveal its ex-showroom price; we are expecting that it will start from ₹8 lakh. Outside, it will feature LED headlamps with LED daylight, LED tail lamps, a large front grille, roof rails, dual-tone alloy wheels, conventional door handles, and front-door integrated ORVMs.
The cabin will feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre of the dashboard, six airbags, a wireless phone charger in the front row, and ventilated discs. Under the hood, it may get a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol-powered ICE with two transmissions that are 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque-converter automatic.
2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Maruti Suzuki will launch the 2026 Baleno, a facelift version of the existing model, in October 2026. They are yet to confirm the launch date and announce the price. We expect that it will cost between ₹6 lakh and ₹9.5 lakh. Likely to get a new front grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and updated LED headlamps and DRLs.
The cabin is now expected to be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology and wireless multi-device connectivity. Other features that it may get are 360-degree camera, Wireless phone charging pad on center console, Ventilated front seats, Six airbags, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, ESP, and ABS with EBD.
They will introduce a single internal combustion engine that is a 1.2-litre Z-Series petrol with 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual transmission options. Its drivetrain is front-wheel drive. Generates a maximum of 82 PS power and 112 Nm peak torque. It may be available with ARAI-certified mileage of 24-25 kmpl.
Hyundai Bayon

The Bayon, a compact crossover SUV from Hyundai, is all set to be available for sale in the Indian market from late 2026. The carmaker will introduce this car with the starting ex-showroom of ₹8 lakh. It is set to come with connected LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, a large front grille, roof rails and dual-tone alloy wheels.
The dashboard will feature two 10.25″ screens, one under the steering wheel as a digital instrument cluster and the other as an infotainment system. Most likely to get a 1.0-litre T-GDi turbocharged petrol-powered ICE under the hood, which cranks up to 120 PS power and 172 Nm torque. Its transmission may be a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
