Jetour T2 PHEV India Launch by Diwali 2026 — 381 hp & ₹25–30 Lakh Price
The Jetour, a sub-brand under the Chinese automaker Chery, is preparing to make its debut in the Indian market with the launch of Jetour T2, a plug-in hybrid vehicle, under the banner of JSW Motors. Reportedly, the carmaker will introduce it to the Indian market by Diwali, i.e., in October or November 2026.
The automobile manufacturer hasn’t yet revealed its price, but they may soon, as the launch is just a few weeks away. There’s high speculation that it will be available with the ex-showroom prices of ₹25 lakh and ₹30 lakh. Once launched, the car will face tough competition from the top trims of the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and Jeep Compass.
JSW Motors is all set to assemble the Jetour T2 and other NEVs of Chinese automaker Chery and its subsidiaries at the Greenfield plant at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, and sell them domestically; some will also be exported in the future. Let’s have a closer look at the upcoming PHEV under the JSW banner.
Runs up to 1200 km

The Jetour T2 is set to come with the same powertrain and performance that is offered in China. In the Chinese market, the car gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol under the hood which is bolted with the 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. It is based on the Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM system, which features a double motor on the front axle featuring a front-wheel drive drivetrain.
The combined power output is 381 hp, and peak torque is 610 Nm, which makes the acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h 7.5 seconds and its maximum speed 197 km/h. Offered with a battery pack of a 26.7 kWh LFP battery pack whose NEDC-range, only-electric range is 139 km and overall range is 1200 km thanks to the i-DM (Intelligent Drive Model) system, which features both driving options: pure EV and hybrid.
Features 580L Boot Space
The Jetour T2 features a seating capacity of 5 people in a layout of 2 and 3; in traditional configuration, it has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, which is best among its competitors, giving good legroom for all rear-seating passengers, which makes the long journey convenient. Its cargo capacity is 580 litres, which is expandable by folding rear seats.
The length, width and height are 4,785 mm, 2,006 mm and 1,880 mm, respectively, making it a five-door mid-size sport utility vehicle. The ground clearance is 220 mm, which is quite good for Indian road conditions; with this ride height, the car can easily cross even big potholes and speed breakers easily.
Features & Technology
The Jetour T2’s cabin is equipped with a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen at the centre which acts as a control panel of the car and also a 10.25-inch driver display, i.e., a fully digital instrument cluster that shows driving information. Both screens are powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chipset to ensure a smooth and fast user interface.
The front seats are ventilated; the driver is electronically adjustable in 6 ways and the passenger’s in 4 ways. For wireless connectivity, it is set to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and also supports an AI-based voice assistant that controls climate, windows, and navigation over voice control. To enhance the audio experience inside the cabin, it gets a 12-speaker Sony audio system.
Other notable features are a 64-inch panoramic sunroof, 64-colour customisable ambient lighting, a 50 watt high-speed wireless charging pad, and Level 2 ADAS featuring Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning & Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning & Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
