2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally Launched: 170 hp at ₹32.40 Lakh

After showcasing the 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, the Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has finally launched it for the Indian market in two colour options that are Ducati Red and Jade Green, with the ex-showroom prices of ₹32.40 lakh and ₹32.73 lakh, respectively.

Compared to the Multistrada V4 Rally from Ducati introduced back in 2022, the 2026 model has received many upgrades. Now, it has adaptive DSS EVO suspension with better, smarter real-time damping, replacing the semi-active DSS; an automatic lowering device that lowers the motorcycle at low speed so the driver can foot it easily; earlier, this feature wasn’t available.

Removing the Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, it has now received Forward Collision Warning, which works with the front-mounted radar, and even conventional IMU-based rider aids are placed by Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), which improves ABS, traction control and wheelie control using virtual sensors.

Previously, it had only 265 mm discs, but now, its diameter has increased by 15 mm. Replacing the old one, it now has a revised windscreen for better wind protection with a width of 40 cm and a length of 20 cm. Earlier, electrically heated handlebar grips were available as an option for selected markets, but now they are standard for all markets with the five different heat levels.

Other than these changes, the motorcycle remains the same. It still has a V4 Granturismo liquid-cooled internal combustion engine that is mated with a six-speed manual transmission with Ducati Quick Shift Up/Down 2.0 featuring a hydraulic slipper clutch with self-servo action, chain drive, and an electronic fuel injection system.

The ICE’s displacement is 1,158 cc, its bore and stroke are 83.0 × 53.5 mm, and its compression ratio is 14.0:1, which generates the peak power of 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and torque of 123 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is under 4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 150 km/h.

Its ARAI-certified mileage is 15.4 kmpl, and real-world mileage is 13 kmpl for city driving and 15 kmpl for highway cruising. Its fuel tank capacity is 30 litres. When the tank is full with the average real-world fuel efficiency of 14 kmpl, it can run up to 420 kilometres without any stop for refuelling. Its kerb weight is 240 kg.

This bike comes with five different riding modes that are Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet. Built on an aluminium monocoque frame. Its front suspension is 50 mm USD Marzocchi forks, and the rear is a Marzocchi monoshock with the Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO with 200 mm of travel.

Equipped with a cross-spoke tubeless alloy wheel, 19-inch in the front with 120/70 tyres and 17-inch in the rear with 170/60. Both wheels’ braking are managed by discs: the front with twin 330 mm semi-floating Brembo Stylema monobloc 4-piston radial callipers and the rear with the 280 mm Brembo 2-piston floating calliper.

The wheelbase of this motorcycle is 1,572 mm; compared to the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer, and KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, it is longer by 38 mm, 12 mm, and 12 mm, respectively. Meaning, it is the one which provides better stability on high compared to all the competitors.

Features a seating capacity of 2 people, a rider and a pillion; seats are made of premium-quality material for better seating comfort for both. The seat height is adjustable, meaning one rider can set a comfortable riding height to experience a smooth riding experience.
