In the second half of 2026, VinFast, the Vietnamese automobile manufacturer, will make entry to the Indian two-wheeler electric vehicle market by launching three electric scooters. Prior to making its entry to the market, the EV manufacturer has asked applications to become a VinFast dealer for their upcoming electric two-wheelers; the deadline for the same is set as September 15, 2026.
The deadline for application to become a VinFast electric 2W dealer hints that their entry into the two-wheeler electric segment in India will take place in near future. The first three e-scooters that they may launch in India are VinFast Evo, VinFast Feliz II, and VinFast Viper. The report suggests that the launch of these all-electric two-wheelers will happen simultaneously, giving choices to buyers to choose.
VinFast to launch 3 electric scooters in the second half of 2026
Various reports mention that VinFast is planning to launch those three e-scooters around Diwali 2026. These upcoming electric 2Ws are all set to give tough competition to the recently launched Simple Wave and Ather Konarc. It won’t only compete with these two e-scooters but also rival with the models that have been on sale for months, such as the Hero Vida, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak.
For any of these electric scooters, VinFast hasn’t officially announced any details for India. The launch in the Indian market is anticipated to happen with the same specifications and features with which it is sold in Vietnam and other internal markets. VinFast Evo
The VinFast Evo is a conventional family electric scooter designed for daily commuters, students and buyers wanting a practical and easy-to-use two-wheeler. Its 2.45 kW in-hub electric motor and 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack give a range of 85 km. An additional battery of 1.5 kWh can be added to increase the range up to 170 km. The top speed of this e-scooter is 70 km/h, making it ideal for city driving, and the kerb weight is 86 kg to help with easy handling for stop-and-go traffic.
The dimensions of this electric scooter in terms of length, width and height are 1,856 mm, 683 mm and 1,133 mm, respectively. Under the seat, it has a boot of 12 litres when two batteries are installed. With only one battery pack, it gives more space and enhances the small luggage-carrying practicality. Its front wheel has a disc and rear mechanical brake, ensuring safe braking, and the suspension is a telescopic fork and dual hydraulic shock absorbers.
VinFast Feliz II
VinFast Feliz, a practical commuter scooter built for families and office commuters, has a BLDC in-hub motor whose rated power is 1,800W and peak is 3,000W. Its top speed is also 70 kmph. A lithium-ion battery pack of 1.5 kWh is available that offers an 83 km range after each full charge; under the seat, it does have space for an additional 1.5 kWh battery that adds 78 km to the range, increasing the maximum range to 161 km with both battery packs.
Equipped with 14-inch wheels, have 134 mm ground clearance, and have a 780 mm seat height. Under the seat, a boot space of 10 litres is available when both batteries are installed. The length, width and height of this electric scooter are 1,920 mm, 694 mm and 1,140 mm. The electric two-wheeler has LED projector headlamps and a tail lamp and indicators, and it also features regenerative braking and a front disc brake.
VinFast Viper
The VinFast Viper, a sporty electric scooter, was developed for young buyers and riders wanting a sporty styling electric two-wheeler. It is equipped with the 1.8 kW BLDC in-hub motor, which also delivers the power output of 3 kW. It is also equipped with a 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery; it also can have one additional unit of the same battery pack. Its single battery range is 82 km, and with double, it can run up to 156 km.
The length, width, and height of this e-scooter are 1,907 mm, 692 mm, and 1,135 mm, respectively. Its wheelbase is 780 mm, ground clearance is 138 mm, and seat height is 780 mm. The front and rear wheels are 14-inch in diameter with a 90/90-14 front and a 110/80-14 rear tyre. It has a TFT colour instrument display, a smart key, and a wide floorboard.
