The upcoming Ultraviolette Shockwave electric motorcycle is officially confirmed to make its debut in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2027 with 100-volt electrical architecture.
The Indian EV manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive showcased the Ultraviolette Shockwave electric motorcycle at the FAST FORWARD India ’25 Product and Technology Showcase on March 5, 2025. When they unveiled this electric bike, they said that the market launch and delivery will take place in the first quarter of 2026; now it is the second half of the year, and this e-bike isn’t yet launched.
A recent report suggests that now the EV manufacturer is planning to introduce this electric two-wheeler to the Indian market in the 2027 first quarter by being built on 100-volt electrical architecture. The one showcased earlier was built on the electrical architecture below the 100-volt; the actual capability is still undisclosed.
The 100-volt electrical architecture use confirms that this upcoming electric bike has been re-enginered. Traviolette Qlette Shockwave isn’t the only model that will underpin this architecture; the Ultraviolette Tesseract electric maxi-scooter will also. Its launch in the Indian market is also reported around the same timeline, but the actual date is still pending.
When the Indian EV manufacturer showcased the model in March 2025, they also announced the price and revealed the core specifications. According to earlier reports, the delivery for this two-wheeler EV was delayed because the product was ready for the launch. Now, the fresh reports have confirmed the model is coming with a 100-volt electrical architecture, replacing the earlier one.
The company announced the price for ₹1.50 lakh at the time of launch, but now the brand’s official website shows the price of ₹1.75 lakh, an increase of ₹25,000 from earlier. The main reason behind the price hike is most likely the better electrical architecture. With the new architecture, the upcoming motorcycle will support more fast DC charging, killing the range anxiety.
The showcased version had a mid-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission that delivers 10.8 kW (14.5 hp) with the peak wheel torque of 505 Nm. The 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack gives the 165 km range on the Indian Driving Cycle; the acceleration timing for 0 to 60 kmph is 2.9 seconds, and the top speed is 120 kmph.

Changes to powertrain specifications are highly anticipated because of the new electrical architecture. The alloy wheels will be available on both sides, 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear. The 90/90 front and 110/90 rear tyres are certain. The front suspension is a 37 mm cartridge-type fork with 200 mm travel, and the rear is a monoshock with 180 mm travel.
The front and rear brakes are set to 270 mm disc and 220 mm disc, as per the reports; these are details that were revealed at the showcase. The double-channel anti-locking braking system is confirmed for safe braking. Two colours are set to be offered; they are Cosmic Black and Frost White. The single-piston and two-piston are available for the front and rear brakes, respectively.
Other features also include four traction-control modes and six levels of regenerative braking. The design highlights are a slim body, a tall front section, vertically arranged LED lighting, flat, lightweight motorcycle proportions, and long-travel suspension. The design for this upcoming Ultraviolette electric motorcycle is set to remain the same as the showcased model.
