2026 Honda Gold Wing Gets New Colour, ₹1.48L Costlier at ₹44.30L

On June 12, 2026, Honda Motor, the Japanese automobile manufacturer, launched the 2026 model of the Honda Gold Wing Tour, a luxury touring motorcycle, in an all-black colour option with the ex-showroom price of 44.30 lakh rupees. Compared to the discontinued model that was available with the Bordeaux Red Metallic shade, it is 1.48 lakh rupees more costly. Let’s have a closer look at it.

Upfront, it gets a powered, tall and transparent windscreen above the headlights to help in deflecting the wind over the rider and pillion; sleek LED headlights ensure better visibility for nighttime driving; a wide fairing improves aerodynamics and also protects the rider from wind, dust and debris; and air vents on the fairing sides reduce turbulence.

On the sides, it gets a large sculpted fuel tank giving the motorcycle a premium appearance; floorboards help in multiple foot positions, helping in stability; large panniers help in carrying luggage and enhance practicality for tourers; and the rear features a compartment for storage that helps in carrying helmets, bags, and travel gear; a cushioning backrest for the comfort of the pillion; LED taillamps; and two exhausts.

The dashboard gets a TFT infotainment screen that supports wireless connectivity via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and shows navigation; multiple buttons on the handlebar for the audio, navigation, riding modes, windscreen height, and cruise control; and a faring-integrated speaker which not only delivers music but also navigation prompts such as ‘turn right’, ‘go slow’, ‘traffic ahead’, etc.

Built on a twin-spar aluminium frame, whose front suspension is a double wishbone that reduces the front-end dive at the time of braking to improve ride comfort, the rear gets a Pro-Link monoshock which absorbs bumps and road imperfections to maintain comfort for both rider and pillion. Both are electrically adjustable, meaning you can adjust them depending on the rider weight, passenger weight, luggage load and road conditions.

Get a horizontally opposed (flat-six) engine that improves balance and stability and lowers the centre of gravity. The motorcycle stands on multi-spoke aluminium alloy wheels with tubeless tyres; the front one’s size is 18 inches with 130/70, and the rear one’s is only 16 inches with 200/55. They improve handling and also enhance ride quality.

The braking for the front wheel is managed by two 320 mm discs with 6-piston callipers, but the rear has only one 316 mm disc with 3 pistons, ensuring powerful braking with better heat absorption. It also features a double-channel anti-locking braking system, meaning both wheels have ABS, which prevents wheel locking during sudden braking.

The length, width and height are 2,615 mm, 905 mm and 1,430 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 1,695 mm; seat height is 745 mm, giving an ideal seating position for individuals for even short-height riders; ground clearance is 130 mm, ideal for highway cruising, but on rough terrain the rider may face problems; fuel tank is 21 litres, great for long-distance touring; and kerb weight is 393 kg.

It is equipped with a 1,833cc liquid-cooled horizontally opposed six-cylinder four-stroke SOHC internal combustion engine that is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission featuring reverse gear and walking mode. The ICE delivers the maximum power of 126 hp (93 kW) at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 170 Nm (125 lb-ft) at 4,500 rpm.

The top speed is 230 kmph, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph (0 to 62 mph) in under 4 seconds. The two main competitors of the 2026 Honda Gold Wing Tour in the Indian market are the BMW K 1600 GTL and the Harley-Davidson Road Glide. Notably, the former is available for sale with the ex-showroom price of 33 lakh rupees, and the latter with 42.3 lakh rupees.
