Lexus ES 350h Bookings Open in India: Ex-showroom Price Starts at ₹66.10 Lakh

On June 15, 2026, the Lexus ES 350h, a hybrid electric vehicle, made its debut in the Indian market in two different variants: Exquisite and Luxury, which cost ex-showroom ₹66.10 lakh and ₹71.80 lakh, respectively. They have officially started bookings via their official website; delivery will start soon. Its main rivals in India are the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase, the Audi A6, and the Volvo S90.

The launch in India took place almost a year and three months after its global debut on 23 April 2025 at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. Notably, it is built on the TNGA GA-K (Toyota New Global Architecture – K) platform and features a front-wheel drive drivetrain, which also underpins ten models of Toyota and four others of Lexus, including the Lexus LM, Lexus RX, Lexus NX, and Lexus ES.

The front and rear suspensions are MacPherson strut and multi-link independent, respectively. It has electric power steering with variable gear ratio steering, which improves agility and stability to ensure a smooth driving experience even on slightly tough terrain. All wheels are equipped with disc brakes; the front has ventilated discs, and the rear has solid discs, with an anti-locking braking system, which prevents wheel locking in case of sudden braking.

It also has ECBS to precisely control hydraulic braking pressure; EPB replaces the traditional hand brake and makes it convenient to keep the vehicle stationary for parking. Brake Assist increases the braking power if required to reduce braking distance, and VSC helps the vehicle keep on the intended path. TC helps in maximizing the grip on rain, snow, and gravel; and EBD distributes braking force between the front and rear axles equally to ensure safe braking.

Under the hood, it has a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol-powered internal combustion engine with a sixth-generation self-charging strong hybrid that features an electric motor; it is mated with the Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission. The ICE delivers the power and torque of 186 hp and 235 Nm, respectively, and the e-motor generates 201 hp and torque of 270 Nm. The combined power output is 244 hp.

The acceleration timing for 0 to 100 kmph is under 8 seconds, and the top speed is still pending but anticipated to reach up to 180 kmph. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is yet to be made public; the EPA-certified mileage is 48 mpg (20.4 km/l) for city driving and 44 mpg (18.7 km/l) for highway cruising, but in mixed conditions, it is 46 mpg (19.6 km/l). Similar mileage is expected for India.

The fuel tank capacity is 55 liters; even with the average real-world fuel economy of 15 km/L, it may give a range of 825 kilometers; however, the actual figure is yet to emerge. The length, width, and height are 5,140 mm, 1,920 mm, and 1,555 mm, respectively. The wheelbase is 2,950 mm, and ground clearance is anticipated to be above 160 mm to make it Indian road condition-friendly, which is only 138 mm for the US market.

Available with six exterior color options that are Deep Blue Mica, Graphite Black Glass Flake, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, Sonic Quartz, and Sonic Titanium; and two interior themes, they are Hazel and White. Outside, it has Z-shaped LED headlights, including the main headlamp and daylight running light; the Lexus logo below the hood; lower air intakes; and vertical air curtains on the front end.
