Jeep India, the Indian subsidiary of American automobile manufacturer Jeep, has launched the 85th Anniversary Edition of the Jeep Meridian, a three-row mid-size sport utility vehicle, with the ex-showroom price of ₹36.05 lakh. They have introduced the model with only 85 units, which is based on the Overland trim of the standard model.
With the launch, the booking for the Jeep Meridian 85th Anniversary Edition has started on the official website of Jeep India and dealerships. The carmaker is yet to reveal the date on which they will start deliveries. Reportedly, they will start delivering the model in August 2026. Its main rivals in India are the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Škoda Kodiaq.
It comes with 85th Anniversary decals on the front doors and tailgate, a gloss black exclusive alloy wheel center-cap logo, a gold-finished dashboard accent, and an ambient lighting package. Notably, the 85th Anniversary AXS accessory packs, including carpet floor mats, the anniversary decal kit, ambient lighting, and the panoramic sunroof illumination package, are available as optional.
Available with five different exterior color options are Pearl White, Techno Metallic Green, Velvet Red, Grigio Magnesio, and Brilliant Black. The interior now comes with gold dashboard trim, ambient lighting, and the Stellantis CARA AI voice assistant with a 52-language model, which can perform navigation, weather updates, phone calls, music control, and selected vehicle functions.
Dimensionally, it is 4,769 mm longer, 1,859 mm wider, and 1,698 mm taller. Its wheelbase is 2,782 mm, and ground clearance is 203 mm. Available with a seating capacity of 6 people in a 2-2-2 arrangement and 7 individuals in a 2-3-2 arrangement. Both seating layouts are available with the boot space of 170 liters, which helps in carrying small luggage.
Under the hood, it gets a 2.0-liter Multijet II turbocharged diesel, 4-cylinder internal combustion engine that is mated with the 9-speed torque-converter automatic, whose displacement is 1,956 cc. It generates the power of 170 hp (125 kW) at 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 350 Nm at 1,750 to 2,500 rpm. It features a 4×2 drivetrain with optional 4×4.
In the 4×4 mode, it is available with three different driving modes: they are Auto, Snow, and Sand/Mud. Its acceleration timing for 0 to 100 km/h is 10.8 seconds, and its top speed is 198 km/h. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is 16.25 km/h, with the fuel tank capacity of 60 liters, giving a range of 975 kilometers.
Built on Stellantis’s Small Wide 4×4 architecture using the Monocoque (Unibody) structure. Its front suspension is an independent MacPherson strut with frequency-selective damping, and the rear is an independent multi-link with frequency-selective damping. Features Electric Power Steering. The front wheel has a ventilated disc, and the rear features a solid disc.
Upfront, it has the signature seven-slot Jeep grille with chrome surrounds, sleek LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights, and front fog lamps with a cornering function. The sides get black wheel-arch cladding for styling, body-colored ORVMs with blinkers, satin chrome window surrounds, and roof-mounted rails.
At the back, it has LED tail lamps with a signature light pattern, an 85th Anniversary badge on the tailgate for the branding and exclusiveness, a roof-mounted spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, and a silver rear skid plate on the bumper. Inside, it has a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel, which shows all driving data.
The center of the dashboard gets a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, which acts as the control panel of the cabin. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for audio and video streaming. It also features connected car technology with over-the-air software updates, built-in navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.
