On September 15, 2026, Kia Motor officially unveiled the Kia PV7, an all-electric purpose-built vehicle, in two body types: passenger and cargo. The former is available with a seating capacity of 9 for the global and 11 people for the domestic market, and the Cargo version has a load capacity of 1,200 kg. The carmaker has officially confirmed that they will launch the model in the second half of 2027.
Upfront, it has a split-headlight setup, a C-shaped daylight running light to enhance visibility of vehicles during the daylight, and main headlamps are placed between those connected with the black trim. Other highlights from the front-end design are the front bumper with contrast black and silver lower trim. Even the charging port is placed at the front.
On the sides, it has power-sliding side doors for the passenger version, but the cargo version is also available with a manual. The large outside rearview mirrors are clearly visible on the A-pillar. The cladding around the wheel arches and lower body is clearly visible, and other highlights on the sides are double-toned alloy wheels.
The rear of this electric van has a large rear windscreen, horizontally orientated taillamps, and a barking light placed on the upper part of the rear windscreen. The tailgate is available in a lift-up opening for the passenger, and the same for the cargo version is available in a twin-swing. The dimensions are:

The dashboard gets a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre and a 12.9-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel. Its entire cockpit runs on Pleos Connect OS, which features a customisable screen layout and over-the-air software updates. It also features Gleo AI Assistant, which features a hand-free voice assistant.
The 100-watt Type-C charging port is also available for rear passenger occupants, and there are dedicated rear AC vents for all rows. The electric van is also equipped with the Level 2 advanced driving assistant system suite that features Highway Driving Assist 2.0, Forward Collision-Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist 2.0, and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control.
For occupants’ safety, it has a total of seven airbags. To prevent unintended acceleration, it is also equipped with the Pedal Misapplication Safety Assist 2.0. The surround view monitor to get clear of surroundings, remote smart parking assist to enhance the parking practicality, and built-in Cam 3.0 dashcam footage recording are also the features that add for the safety purpose.
The South Korean automobile manufacturer has officially confirmed that firstly they will launch a front-wheel-drive variant, which will get a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle with single-speed automatic transmission, and then all-wheel-drive will also go on sale, getting an induction motor on the front axle.
The FWD variant is all set to go on sale in the Indian market with a 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack; with the large battery pack, it is all set to give the 460 km WLTP range. Kia says that the front-wheel-drive variant will deliver 200 kW power. This electric van is built on an 800V dedicated E-GMP.S commercial EV platform.
It has been officially confirmed that EV can support DC chargers up to 350 kW, which takes 25 minutes for 10 to 80 per cent charging. Notably, the details regarding the AWD variant will be announced later. Things regarding its launch in the Indian market are still unconfirmed; various reports suggest it is unlikely that they will have this e-car in India.
