On September 2, 2026, the Simple Wave, a family-oriented electric scooter for everyday users, was launched in the Indian market with the starting price of ₹109,999; delivery for the same will begin on September 25, 2026. The launch happened with four different battery packs, ranging from 2.2 kWh to 5 kWh, which gives the IDC range up to 243 km.
The newly introduced e-scooter from Simple Energy is the fourth model, after the Simple OneS, Simple One, and Simple Ultra. Let’s have a closer look at this recently launched electric 2W.
Battery pack and range.
The Simple Wave is available for sale in the Indian market with four different battery packs: 2.2 kWh, 2.7 kWh, 3.7 kWh, and 5 kWh, giving the range of 110 km, 132 km, 171 km, and 243 km, respectively, on the Indian Driving Cycle, giving multiple options to buyers to choose among depending on their driving need.
The first three battery packs are LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate), and the last one is NCA (Nickel Cobalt Aluminium). They all are IP67-rated for water and dust protection, ensuring that this electric scooter remains reliable in all types of riding conditions. The claimed range is in ideal condition; in the real world, the range may fall by 15% or even more.
Motor setup and performance.
It gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor with single-speed automatic transmission featuring a belt-drive final drive. The maximum power output is 6.4 kW, which helps the scooter to accelerate from dash to forty kilometers per hour speed in just 3.3 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 90 km/h; it is one among the fastest e-scooters in the segment.
Notably, its electric motor is free from heavy rare-earth materials, which the Simple Energy has used for the first time in their e-scooter; this PMSM made it debut with the Simple Wave. The benefit of using this e-motor is that it reduces the company’s dependence on critical imported materials and also improves supply chain security.
The performance varies depending on the variant. The standard one can reach the maximum speed of only 75 kmph, and they have 4.0 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph, 0.7 seconds more than the top trim. Three driving modes are standard for all: EcoX, Eco, and Ride. The top-end variant also comes with the Sport mode.
Color options and dimensions.
A total of six color options are available, which are Pearl White, Coral Red, Twilight Black, Polar Blue, Dolphin Grey, and Forest Green. The company says that the standard variants are offered with only the first four color options; the last two are exclusively available for the top trim.

The length, width, and height are 1,901 mm, 758 mm, and 1,187 mm, respectively, giving it a perfect family scooter proportion. Its wheelbase of 1,347 mm is one among the scooters that are offered in the Indian market as long-wheelbase two-wheelers, providing long seating space and better high-speed stability.
The seat height is 780 mm, giving a comfortable seating position for the individuals who are 5 ft 2 in (157 cm) and above. Its ground clearance is 172 mm, similar to electric scooters that are offered in the segment; this ride height is good enough to make this scooter pass through rough roads.
Features and technology.
The top-end variant is equipped with the 7-inch TFT display between the handlebars that is powered by a 480 MHz Arm Cortex-M85 graphics microcontroller. It features turn-by-turn navigation with Bluetooth connectivity, GPS tracking, call controls and alerts, music controls, smartphone connectivity, and over-the-air software updates.
The scooter also comes with the reverse mode, crawl mode, and hill-hold assist to enhance the riding practicality. For safety purposes, it features regenerative braking, geo-fencing, time-fencing, theft alerts, and tow alerts. Other notable features are the Full-LED lighting, USB charging, Hushdrive technology, GripSense safety technology, and Hushdrive technology for a quieter drivetrain.

The manufacturer says that it has 70-liter boot space, which includes a main under-seat storage compartment and easy-access pill-shaped storage compartments in the side panels. The cargo capacity leading the segment, this electric scooter is an ideal choice for the elderly who bring the household things from the market.
